09.01.2022 Time to get stuck into this book with the help of my friend coffee after a late shift last night. Have seen some interesting horses this week! The other day I realised that researching and observing equine biomechanics is something that I always get so fascinated and enthusiastic about! Because if we can observe the dysfunction we can take the steps to making a stronger, happier horse. ... Curious to know what topic/area in life other people are as enthusiastic about?

03.01.2022 "Ride him through it" We hear this a lot, but how many of us actually stop to think about what "riding a horse through it" does to the horse, other than making ...them resent work, compensate and become evasive. Take a horse that bucks, nothing crazy like you see in the rodeos, but little bucks here and there. The trainer may simply tell the rider to ride the horse through the bucks without ever stopping to ask "Why is this horse bucking?". Why do horses buck? Some do it out of excitement (a small bunny hop like movement) after a jump, however most of the time bucking can be attributed to pain of some sort. When a person is limping due to pain, we don't tell them to just stop limping and walk it off. Why then do we force horses to work through pain, when it's been proven time and again that you cannot train pain. When a horse rears, bucks, evades, refuses, it's not malice or the horse taking a piss, it's the horse attempting to communicate something to you, the rider. Something isn't right, help me. So the next time your horse does something you either didn't ask for, or don't want, stop and ask yourself what could possibly be causing it. You will save yourself and your horse a lot of headache, heartache and stress by tending to problems when they arise, as opposed to letting it fester and become unfixable.

01.01.2022 Found this image on google while looking for something else, but this find is pure gold. The rotation and bend is shown beautifully. Hello right front dominant ...horse For fun lets see what else you can observe in this image, training our eyes to really see, will put us a head in the journey to help the horse. In order to help improve function we need to learn to see the form! P.S. the first exhibit in the art of seeing the horse videos will be about spinal rotation and the effects throughout the body. How to assess them structurally and what they mean in the greater scheme of things.
