23.01.2022 Come and join us at Bunnings Mile End for a sausage to raise fund for Breast Cancer Trials. 1000 sausages to sell today!

21.01.2022 Hi Everyone, You know my love of everything French and my passion for fundraising for Breast Cancer Trials. Well, when Manu Feildel joined BCT in a fundraising event, I just had to join in. Last Saturday, I watched Manu cook an amazing 3 course French dinner which I would love to share with 16 of my nearest and dearest. So, the plan is to cook Manu’s 3 course meal on Saturday 26 September at my house. Would you like a seat at this table?... To tempt you I will be serving the following: Entrée: Vichysoisse avec crème fraiche Main: Coq au Vin. Ratatouille for the vegos Dessert : La tarte au chocolat parfaite And of course there will be wine, music, laughter and fun So far the Breast Cancer Trials community has raised over $110,000 thank to Manu’s 3 course dinner and I would love it if my friendship community would assist me in increasing this amount even further. It will be worth it to help the 1 in 7 women in Australia like me who will be diagnosed with Breast Cancer in their lifetime. Rather than have everyone just donate money to the cause, I thought it would be fun to have a silent auction for a seat at my dinner table. If you want to join me on Saturday 26 September for a French dinner experience, place your bid either by text 0405 156 459; email [email protected] or by DM on messenger. Don’t hesitate to bid for 2 seats at the dinner and bring a friend, your mum, sister or daughter to join in this amazing French experience. The top 16 bids will join me for an amazing night of everything French! You will need to place your bid by midnight Saturday 12 September and you can increase your bid at any time before this date, just send me a new message! Winners of my French dinner will be announced on Sunday 13 September. So how much would you pay for a 3 course French dinner with drinks, fun, friendship all while supporting a great cause? Of course if you are unable to make the dinner you are more than welcome to donate to Breast Cancer Trials direct. Every dollar raised will fund clinical trials research to find new ways to prevent, treat and even cure breast cancer. You can make a donation on my page here: https://www.3coursechallenge.com.au/fundraisers/sarahlee Merci beaucoup Sarah

19.01.2022 Have you put your bid in for a great night out, only 2 days left to finalise your bid. ALL monies donated will go directly to charity. All costs for the dinner covered by me.

18.01.2022 Finding new and better treatments for breast cancer is a huge effort that takes the collaboration of experts working across Australia, New Zealand and Internati...onally. We have 800 Breast Cancer Trials researchers in Australia and New Zeland, who work closely with other trials groups around the world. This collaboration ensures that women and specialists get early access to new, promising treatments. It also places Australia and New Zealand at the forefront of research progress, playing a pivotal role in influencing breast cancer practice globally thereby contributing to better outcomes for thousands of women in Australia and New Zealand, and potentially millions more throughout the world. 03.01.2022 Today is Male Breast Cancer Awareness Day. This year almost 170 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer in Australia. The risk of a man being diagnosed with b...reast cancer is around 1 in 670. Richard (pictured) was one of those men. Richard was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer almost ten years after he received his first breast cancer diagnosis. He had stopped responding to treatment when his oncologist suggested he try the DIAmOND clinical trial. The DIAmOND clinical trial has been developed by BCT researchers to identify a new immunotherapy treatment options for patients with metastatic HER2 positive breast cancer. It’s hoped that by combining two immume monoclonal antibodies (Durvalumab and Tremelimumab) with Herceptin in these patients, will help to stop or slow down the growth of the cancer, prolong lives as well as result in excellent quality of life. DIAmOND is one of four Breast Cancer Trials clinical trials which are open to male breast cancer patients. Richard said it was a ‘no brainer’ to participate in the clinical trial. I’ve got one grandson. He’s only two years old and that was one of the reasons why I decided to participate. I thought, well if this works, I might get to see Archie grow up a bit more. He said he has had a positive experience on DIAmOND. At this stage, I think it’s working for me. They do regular testing to see what’s happening inside and the lesions are getting smaller. Richard’s wife Erika (pictured with Richard) said she is thankful for the new treatment option for her husband. We’ve actually got hope. We’ve only been married 51 years, So I’d like a few more If I can. You can learn more about the DIAmOND clinical trial through the open trials link in our bio. #malebreastcancer #malebreastcancerday #malebreastcancerawarenessday #malebreastcancerresearch #malebreastcancertreatment #malebreastcancerclinicaltrial #malecanceraus #malecancernz #menbreastcancer #breastcancer #breastcancerresearch #breastcancerclinicaltrials #cancerclinicaltrials #cancerresearch #breastcancertreatments #breastcancertreatments #breastolution #trialssavelives #breastcancertrials #breastcancerawareness #breastcancerau #breastcancernz #breastcancercommunity
