13.01.2022 I felt honoured to be back here today talking with the children about my favourite thing .. clay. I observed . a bowl being made within seconds of me passing a ball of clay . Children expressing their joy in the softness if the clay . Exploration of textures and... . Construction of their own pieces of ephemeral works using gum nuts, leaves and sticks. . I could go on and on thanks Sue, Lisa, Toots and the Pelican Waters Golden Beach Kindergarten and Childcare and team. See more

03.01.2022 The kiln has been cranking this week. Tomorrow will be our third firing. Lots of awesome work has been created and finalised this week. I'd love to welcome all our new students and recognise all those returning for their 2nd, or third year. Clay is not only great therapy for our mind but helps with hand strength and coordination. Learning to work with a medium like clay teaches resilience, preservance and trust. Its a great social opportunity too and an awesome confidence bu...ilder. Happy Friday. See more
03.01.2022 Yesterdays MudClub at Pelican Waters Golden Beach Kindergarten and Childcare was great fun. The rain definitely did not dampen these nature loving kids ideas. We played with a white clay and texture. I don't like to introduce fancy tools, encouraging the children to find and use things around them. Paddlepop sticks were used to cut and press. The most active kids were making the tiniest delicate eggs for a basket. To see busy bodies using slow carefull hands to roll tiny balls gave me a tingley feeling. I loove what I do and what these children show me they can do with very little.
03.01.2022 Bells and their dingers are ready for collection if anyone from the workshop is in the hood today.
