21.01.2022 An extension from exploring the Winter Wonderland took us on a journey to exploring ways to decorate our own unicorn using stickers, glitter and crayons. This activity allowed the children to use their creative skills along with focusing on their hand eye coordination and their language skills from talking about their process of creating. We also built our own small world winter wonderland using fake snow and ice shavings A great learning experience using imagination for a snow land and exploring communication through building relationships with peers

19.01.2022 Monday 22nd July An Adventure to Perth Zoo We were lucky with the clear weather especially with winter here The children took a journey through the reptile encounter, where some very lively snakes were saying hello We took a stroll through the wetlands where the children spotted the blue billed duck and the glossy ibis, each time we attend the zoo we learn about a new animal... The children were really excited when we saw the sun bear, we learnt that the sun bear uses its claws to dig into termites nests so they can eat them (delicious) We ended our trip with a fantastic show performed by Tricia the 63 year old elephant and Permai the 23 year old elephant the children were captivated by these beautiful creatures See more

19.01.2022 A beautiful morning with Little Sparrows Family Daycare and Little Friends Family Daycare for a @Wanslea family daycare play date We just love being outdoors... The sense of freedom elates happiness and encourages healthy experiences through using our bodies to develop physical activities. We took great risks by climbing the trees and encouraging our sense of confidence and took moments of just being and enjoying nature... We planted seeds ready to grow and observe for tree day on Sunday 28th July, once these seeds have sprouted we look forward to sharing these with our families and community to plant the native plants

18.01.2022 After the children had explored the rice with magnets (and a great run outside exploring) I set up with scoops, pots and lids to see where the learning went... Allowing different experiences encourages different areas of learning and development to take place... It was here where conversations through both verbal and non verbal communication took place, the boys were able to select materials the wanted with ease Mr E pretended he was making dinner and lifted up hid bowl to his mouth but made eating sounds... mr c giggles and attempted to copy (but you guessed it... managed to eat some dried rice ) Mr L concentrated with great care collecting his rice in the scoop and saying ta as he handed William the scoop
