23.01.2022 No matter what well being means to you, I think we can all agree that now more than ever is a time that we need to prioritise our health, both physical and mental. The events of the last few months have certainly made me step back and contemplate what kind of lifestyle I want for myself as I get older. Like a lot of people I know, over the last few months whilst we have been in isolation I have let myself go a bit. Eaten things I usually wouldn't. Skipped training sessions. S...pent an afternoon on the couch watching Netflix when I should have been doing something more productive. I simply do not feel myself at the moment, which is quite scary. I'm sure a lot of people can relate I am somebody who likes certainty, so it's been a challenge for me to be thrown out of my usual routine. I feel a loss of freedom that I have worked very hard to attain. But I've realised that if I don't make a change now then I am just going to get stuck in a rut, and the last thing I want for my life is to look back with regret wishing for a life lived better. I know that prioritising your own health and well being isn't selfish, it's absolutely essential to living your best life, and for showing up as the best person you possibly can be for everyone else around you. It's hard to make changes when you are stuck in a routine. Creating new habits takes time, but after a while they become your new routine and will be second nature. They just become part of what you do in your daily life. They don't have to be big changes either, lots of small things soon add up. Be more conscious with your food choices Get 30 minutes of exercise daily Ensure you get 7-8 hours of sleep Take some time out of your day just for yourself to meditate or read Practice gratitude and positive thinking Change is hard Staying stuck is hard Choose your hard It's your choice

15.01.2022 They say that you are the sum of the 5 people that you spend the most time with. Our environment and our influences are so important for us to achieve our goals and dreams! So, if you want to be healthier, find yourself people who already make healthy choices to hang out with.... If you want to be fitter, hang out with people who are already fit and strong. If you want a more positive outlook, make new friends who are already positive. If you want to be more successful in business, surround yourself with people who are already successful. If you want to earn more money, then hang with people who earn more than you. The list goes on... The one thing you should never, EVER do is take advice from someone who hasn't already achieved what you aspire to! People who are happy and successful want to see other people winning too - otherwise it would be pretty lonely at the top. So if your friends are not supportive of your goals ask yourself why? Maybe it's time to make some new ones

09.01.2022 OMG I am in shock right now!! Facebook memories this morning was a picture of me at my favourite coffee shop (no that's not the shocking bit ) It happens to come up when I am sitting waiting for my coffee again ... So I thought I would take a selfie again to compare. Photo on the left twelve months ago. Jeez I never realised how bad my wrinkles were, especially around my neck And my eyes were so dull! I thought I was doing ok for a 50 year old, and I guess I was. But could have been so much better Photo on the right is today. Pretty sure that the changes are evident. This is all the proof I need that what I am doing is working for me. 10 weeks in and so grateful
