25.01.2022 Thank you everyone who attended the meeting on Thursday night and congratulations to Simon our meat tray winner on the night hope you enjoyed it mate. Due to Thursday being the show holiday and it being usually a small night for us I feel that we should cancel darts for the night and let everyone enjoy their day off and the show if you go. Darts will definitely be on the following Thursday and look forward to seeing you all there. Thank you Sam Hampton

25.01.2022 We had a great night last Thursday with a good turnout of players we played a doubles format and paired our juniors with our seniors it was close games on the night with Matty and Caitlyn being our winners on the night. There will be no darts this Thursday night as most of our juniors will be away being the first week of the school holidays.

24.01.2022 I would like to thank all the regular players who turn up each week to support our club without you we wouldn’t be able to continue. We play every Thursday night and are happy go lucky bunch and would welcome old and new players from juniors to seniors no matter what your experience is we are more than happy to help you. Our membership fees are only $20 per year with a weekly playing fee of $5 the cheapest sport you will play in Sarina. Congratulations to Jeff on being last weeks winner well done. 23.01.2022 Hello to you all hope everyone is safe and doing well.Just an update I have been in the process of getting us ready to return to play, I am now preparing a return to play plan for the Mackay council and have applied to the qld government for a grant to help with signage and sanitation products for when we reopen. I have also submitted a new application to DBCT for sponsorship so fingers crossed . Hopefully the council will give us approval ASAP and we can get back to playing. We wont be able to sell alcohol until we get the go ahead from fair trading and because of restrictions wont be able to do food (snacks) . I will let you know as soon as I get the go ahead. 22.01.2022 Good evening everyone just wanted to let you all know that thanks to DBCT sponsorship our new dart boards have been ordered and payed for and are on their way as well as us having enough to buy a new vacuum cleaner to replace the one that blew up . DBCT are also giving us new signage for out the front of our hall and for above our dart boards as part of their sponsorship . 22.01.2022 Hi all just an update our return to play plan is in with the council awaiting approval once I get that I will let you all know I have all signage printed and laminated to go in all areas of the hall and toilets myself and Helen have both done COVID 19 training courses and first aid courses we will most likely be limited to 20 people in the hall at first but I believe that will be increased in n the near future . I see that council has approved the athletics club to commence on the 12th of June so hopefully we will get the go ahead soon . Watch this space

21.01.2022 On the 29th of November we held the Jamie Leigh Memorial, we would like to thank everyone that showed up and made the day a success. The A grade men’s winner was Matty Ahwang. The B grade men’s winner was Craig Nicholas. The A grade women’s winner was Gladys Cuff. The B grade women’s winner was Alana Wilson. ... There were some awesome darts thrown on the day with 15 180’s thrown and a 124 bullpeg and a high score thrown by our own Tim Wilson be of 148. 20.01.2022 Just an update ride on mower has been purchased and I’m pleased to say it cuts the grass fine hall looks great after mowing. Also Mick Afflick has started painting the hall and it’s already looking better a big thank you to Mick . I would also like to congratulate Kent on his win last week we didn’t have a big rollout but they were a happy lot of players. Slowly but surely we are getting our club back up and running again thanks to all of you who support us thank you. See you all on Thursday night. Sam Hampton

20.01.2022 Good evening everyone we will be open tomorrow at 6.00pm for Darts we have been cleaning and getting everything in order for our return to play.Helen and I will finish setting up the hall and getting signage in place tomorrow.The bar is stocked up and it will be table service only and we will have restrictions in place with a maximum number of 20 people in the hall at once. You will need to sign in and out on a register which we will have to keep for 5 weeks I will give everyone a run down before we play. 20.01.2022 I would like to say a big thank you to Graig ,Helen and my kids for giving up their day to help cut down the trees at the dart hall we have started to cut up the fallen trees and stack up the branches but have lots more to do. Thank you Craig you are a champion I would be thinking you Helen and the kids will be feeling it now. And thank you Jason the arborist for the excellent job our clubhouse is still in one piece and our solar panels will receive maximum sun throughout the day. Sam Hampton

18.01.2022 Hi everyone it’s been a while since I have posted for this I apologise as you know I have not been a 100 percent for the past 3 weeks our season has started well and it been good to welcome you all back and also our new members. I would like to thank Craig and Helen for all their work in getting the grass mowed and whippersniped and Helen for doing the poisoning to try and keep the weeds and grass away from the walls around the hall I would also like to thank Mick as I see that he is painting inside the hall again. Congratulations to Geoff on winning the meat tray last week hope you enjoyed it mate. We will play tomorrow night and assess the situation each week with what’s happening with this corona virus. 18.01.2022 I would like to let everyone know that due to not being well and my kids not being home and Helen working there will be no darts tonight. But there will be definitely darts next Thursday night I am organising an end of year bbq for everyone that has supported us this year I hope to see you all there. 17.01.2022 We held an inter club challenge against Mackay on Saturday and it was a great day of darts and fun and laughter had by all Sarina ended up with the win on the day but all games could have gone either way. It was great hosting Mackay at our club and look forward to traveling into Mackay for our next challenge. I would like to thank Jan and Jeff for their part in organising the day and their players for for a great day of darts. I would also like to thank all of our members and especially our juniors for coming and making the day a success. Looking forward to making this a regular event with great friends. 17.01.2022 We held the Jamie Leigh memorial on Saturday and we had a very good roll up for it with Mackay players turn up and my good friends Shann and Doris came all the way from Airlie beach to play. The day was a great success and there was much laughter and some excellent darts thrown by all grades and our ladies. I would also like to mention how well our juniors held their own against the better players and starting on 501 you should all be proud of yourselves. A grade men was won ...by Simon With Mick as runner up A grade women was won by Gayle with Helen as runner up B grade mens was won by Macca with Robbie runner up B grade women was won by Rachel with Caitlyn runner up. 180s were thrown by Victor x1 Simon x1 Matty x3 and Shann x2 . 15.01.2022 Good afternoon everyone we are back in business as usual albeit with the exception of obeying the Covid 19 rules which I’m glad to say everyone is doing a great job of following. Everyone has been a little bit rusty after our break but gradually getting back into the groove. I especially would like to thank the Mackay players who come out each week and support us it is very much appreciated. 12.01.2022 Good evening everyone just an update on our return to play we have been approved by council to return to play. We will open up next Thursday 25th June unfortunately I dont have enough time to get everything I need to do to open this week. There is much to do with sanitizing,cleaning, signage, table and chairs set up, members sign in book and much more. We will be limited to 20 people in the hall at once until July 10th I believe so please bear with us.Also we will be able to open the bar for table service only for drinks and snacks (ie chips peanuts etc ). 11.01.2022 Good afternoon everyone we are looking at starting darts again on Thursday the 21st January. I am in the process of finding out about what we have to put in place to comply with the new COVID-19 rules now that we can no longer use the paper trail system anymore. I will let you all know if there is any delay with our start date. We need to be doing the right thing as the fines are quite hefty and I’m definitely not keen on paying money out for nothing. 10.01.2022 A great night at darts last night I would like to thank all the Mackay players for making the trip out and for your support to the club good to see Bill and Naz back as well and the number of juniors we have playing and improving each week I think we will have some good players coming along to give us older players a run for our money. Competition was close all night and ended with a three way play off between Mick, Fred and Kent with a well deserved win going to Fred congratulations mate enjoy your meat tray. Still looking for more players to come along and enjoy a game of darts and good company young or old experienced or inexperienced we cater for all levels and its the cheapest sport that you can play in Sarina. 07.01.2022 To all our members Sarina Darts will be closed for darts until further notice due to government closing down all pubs clubs and sporting venues due to the Coronavirus for how long I cannot tell but will keep you all informed. I wish to thank you all for supporting us as it has put us in a positive position to weather this out financially. Myself,Helen and my kids will keep the grounds at the hall mowed and whippersnipped and we will try and get some work done inside the hall. 07.01.2022 Our solar system is now fully installed it’s just a matter of Ergon coming out to inspect it and switching it on it will save us greatly on our power bill. Trees will be cut down and it will be up to us to cut them up and dispose of so I will be looking at organising a working bee once it’s done so if anyone is chasing some firewood you will be welcome to take it. All we need now is more players to come along and support our club on a regular basis everyone no matter if you are young or old experienced or inexperienced come along have some fun enjoy good company and a game of darts. 06.01.2022 Congratulations to Paul for being our winner last Thursday night hope you enjoyed your meat tray and a big thank you for everyone who turn up every week and support our club without you we wouldnt be able to move forward and keep our club going we are slowly but surely making improvements to benefit all our members hopefully we can tap into some grants and make some real improvements in the near future and build our club up again. 06.01.2022 Today Sarina Darts Association is hosting the youth alliance forum at the dart hall grounds we are proud to be associated with them we would like to see as many people as possible to come along and support them. There will be lots of fun activities and support services there that are available to help our kids as well we will be cooking for them any of our members who are free from 3.00pm until 6.00pm would be most welcome to come lend a hand. 06.01.2022 Hi everyone we are holding the Jamie Leigh memorial challenge on the 29th of November all are welcome to come along and play. Hall will be open from 9.00am for registrations and hoping to kick off by 10.00am .We will have A and B grade men and women shields to play for. Come along and support this special day.

04.01.2022 I would like to say a big thank you to Craig and Helen for giving up their time yesterday and mowing and whippersnipping our grounds I owe you both a couple of beers. We had a small but happy group of players on Thursday night and I must have had a flash of my old form and managed to to win the meat tray it was yum. I have also replaced the freezer at the hall with a near new one and have 2 tuckerbox freezers for sale if anyone is interested in buying them please shoot me a message.

I am in the phase of setting us up for a QR code for digital sign in and out to make us compliant for Covid-19 as paper trail is no longer accepted. Hopefully all being well I will have everything in place for next week. As with anything to do with government it takes time for things to happen.
