20.01.2022 HAPPY 1ST WEDDING ANNIVERSARY Sophie & Dan! It’s just gone a year since these two lovebirds said ‘I do’. Having been a musician at hundreds of weddings, Sophie was determined to make her own wedding different. ... They were married ‘in the round’ with guests sat in a circle around us. We rotated through the different parts of the ceremony, so everyone got a great view. To top it off they were married under the most magical hanging arbour. 19.01.2022 Hello there! Ive been a bit quiet on the old socials, while we moved interstate (which has been like moving to another country!), found a home & got settled. Now that thats all done, Im pumped to be getting back into weddings, meeting new couples and doing what I love! ... Ive a revamped website (saritathecelebrant.com - check it out!) and theres a new blog on its way soon . Its been a rocky road with the old coronavirus (& sorry to Victoria, where its a bit never ending ) - but here in NSW, were getting there (phew to that!). 18.01.2022 Last weekend I had the absolute pleasure of marrying Rose & Nick. It was a Plan B smaller wedding than they had originally planned. & then on the day itself it was another weather back up Plan B, as it was bucketing it down. ... None of that mattered. 13.01.2022 Lets talk about dancing. My other hustle, when Im not being a celebrant, is that Im a lecturer. So many of my students are celebrating that milestone 21st birthday this year. ... The on going crapness that is 2020 means no parties, no going out clubbing, not being able to celebrate how they wanted to. Weddings. You can have plenty of guests at weddings in NSW now (very lucky I know compared to other states). But no dancing. Dancing. With your friends. In a sweaty space. Your favourite tunes. Having the best time. Another thing to add to the list of we wont take for granted when this is over. Dancing. Its like medicine. So much so, that remember you can actually do it anywhere! So feel free to have a Friday night dance off in your own lounge tonight. You know you want to. & you know youll feel better for it. Two of the most chilled out people you’ll ever meet, cue the totally appropriate sign outside the venue ‘Go with the flow. A&A’. ... The weather tried to wreak havoc as did a last minute Covid panic - but it all followed their moto at the end and behaved - & the day was perfect! 12.01.2022 Lots of friends & my lovely couples too, have been getting in touch to ask how the move has gone & if we made it over the border ok. So just to let you know that were safely in the Central Coast now & thank you for all the messages . Ive tried to explain to non Aussie friends that moving interstate in Oz is almost like moving to a different county - weve got to get new licenses, new car registration - and during current climate proved even trickier. ... Were staying with Adams mum till we find new home, schools etc & shes made us feel ridiculously at home - very grateful for that. Its been quite the journey (literally!) topped off by a visit from NSW police checking we werent holidaying here. Thankful to be here though with this crazy lovely bunch aka my boys. Look forward to making new friends & building a new community when normal life resumes. In the meantime, hurray for all the many many ways we can all stay connected and thank you for all the well wishes #saritathecelebrant

10.01.2022 Meet Jess & Tommy . They met in London 5 years ago and within a month of that meeting, Tommy announced he was going to move to Australia with Jess, which is where she is from. They havent looked back since. They were married at The Farm, at the Yarra Valley in a ceremony that included their dog Bruce as ring bearer, Jesss niece Bella as a flower girl, interpreters for Jesss parents and musicians. Were saying goodbye to our home for the last 7 & a half years & leaving with heavy hearts as we say bye (or not with current social isolation restrictions in place!)to all the amazing friends weve made here.
