20.01.2022 Rounding up 2019 with a bang! Read below for Brutukan's beautiful reflection on her involvement with the recent SAR presentation at the #PCOA19 conference. We are so grateful to have Brutukan involved in SAR - she is an absolute powerhouse! "Had the pleasure of emceeing at the PCOA Conference 2019 for SAR in my tradition dress. This has not only helped to learn so much about myself and learn from others but it has made me feel proud about sharing my culture, tradition and te...ach others. Living in between can be hard but the simple things that we own/possess can help us reconcile or bring things together. These can be the strength we possess or the items we own that remind us of the important things, people or places to us. We all live in between cultures, religions, customs, etc but we can always find a common ground. So let's reach out, connect, learn, understand and find the common ground. WHAT A GREAT WAY TO END 2019 WITH A WELL DESERVED STANDING OVATION!!! LETS SEE WHAT 2020 HAS IN STORE FOR US"

18.01.2022 10 SAR members are in Sydney right now and tomorrow they will be presenting to 500 people at the Professional Conference Organisers Conference. Good luck presenting at the conference tomorrow Om, Nyang, Lila, Hey Blu, Te Myee, Nazreat, Krishna, Brutukan, Naveen, Novel and Gini! All of SAR in Hobart is cheering for you from here. - Emalia

10.01.2022 Phew! What a week it has been. We have worked with 110 youths in Bendigo; visited Sovereign Hill and Eureka Skydeck; had meals from all over the world; met with and spoke to a Paul, a Holocaust survivor, at the Jewish Holocaust Museum and spoken with Victorian youth leaders Loar and Mohammad. Right now Om is at ABC studios recording a piece about SAR - the last little bit of work to do on this wonderful trip. We have had an incredible time and between the 20 of us there are thousands of photos from the past couple of days which we will share with you all soon (well, we'll share some of them). Another huge thanks to FRRR to making this invaluable experience possible. We are coming back to Hobart with new connections, new skills and a new sense of purpose. - Emalia

05.01.2022 "One of the best and most professional workshops I’ve ever attended. Hearing individual's stories was a powerful and effective way of communicating your overall message." - participant, Parliament House workshop (15.11.19) We collect (and then process) feedback at the end of each workshop to see how we can make them even better. Here's a peek of part of that process from November last year. The best bit of processing feedback is reading the amazing comments that people leave! Thank you to everyone who has participated in a SAR workshop so far. We're looking forward to doing more again this year!

02.01.2022 Living in Between during Covid 19. The Students Against Racism group recently completed a 6 weeks online storytelling course with the author and facilitator Emily Conolan. We zoomed with a poet, Hani Abdile, who is based in Sydney, connected with the Lord Mayor, Anna Reynolds and shared our ideas, our thoughts and our stories from our homes around Hobart. We played some crazy games and laughed a lot. Thanks Emily for motivating and connecting us when we were feeling very isolated.....and well done to the participants for turning your cameras on, taking the risk to join this group and building your skills. We have collected all the writing and have it ready for the next project. Big thanks to Hobart City Council for funding this project through the Resilient Hobart grants.
