22.01.2022 At @mokumstudio recently on the hunt for some final fabrics for a client presentation. The theme for this project is Indochina/Sri Lankan, which has been pure joy researching. I can’t wait to show the client everything, and hope she loves it all.... This fabric in the pics won’t make the cut for this particular project but hopefully for another project soon....it’s so divine!!!! I LOVE textiles!!!!

19.01.2022 DID YOU KNOW?! One of the many benefits of engineered timber is that you get the look of timber but a much more stable product. Because it's laminated, there is virtually no shrinkage or twisting of the planks, no gaps or movement over time. You can sand them back - but gently and only a couple of times to freshen them up. 18.01.2022 A SPECIAL MESSAGE FOR YOU... Today I wanted to update you on the unusual supply issues that we're battling with within our industry at the moment: - There are issues with not having enough shipping containers anywhere on this planet (I'm not kidding!)... - Covid has affected different countries in different ways so if there have been shutdowns, then production has been cut and there's a supply lag as a result. - We've had port strikes here in Australia because, well, it's 2020! - AND Covid is playing havoc even if there isn't a shutdown. For example, India is so badly affected that rug production is down by 80% at the moment. Eighty. Per. Cent!!! Manufacturing countries are struggling to get raw materials to even make products! So, current availability is wildly unstable - something showing as available today can easily be gone by tomorrow; even with suppliers that hold lots of stock. That means a looooonnnnngggg wait for more stock to arrive on our shores. Things are just a moving feast on so many fronts! So what does that mean exactly?! Well, there's little stock available and MASSIVE backorder timeframes. Also, I think we can expect prices to go up significantly next year! So, I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU for your patience while we grapple with this continuing weird situation! Let's hope 2021 is so much better on every level and for everyone, right?
