25.01.2022 Tomorrow is going to be a warm one in Samford Valley. Snakes like the heat but they also like to escape it. Your cool, air-conditioned homes provide a great place for a midday nap for our scaly friends. Be sure to keep all your doors and windows closed to prevent any unwanted visitors. If you do find a friend be sure to give me a call. 0455554010.

21.01.2022 I just wanted to remind everyone that I am available 24 hours 7 days per week. If you see a snake on your property and would like it relocated please stay a safe distance away but keep a close watch on where it goes, quite often we get call outs where we are unable to locate the snake as we have no idea where its gone or even if it is still on the property. Should we be on the roof looking in the guttering? On the ground around nearby bushes? Over the fence next door? Keep watch. If you find any injured wildlife please call immediately.

20.01.2022 Update on the Coastal Carpet Python from Cedar creek. He had consumed a bat so he has been released to go and digest his meal. How awesome is this x-ray! What a privilege to see!

18.01.2022 This little guy came into care last night a little sluggish and dehydrated. He was found on the road with some ants hitching a ride while he was searching for a new place to call home. After spending the night in a temporary enclosure with some water he had a vet check today and was given the all clear to head back to his natural world.

15.01.2022 Call out to Cedar Creek for a Coastal Carpet Python. He was upsetting the doggos on the property. Quite the unusual shape belly. Off to the vets to make sure nothing abnormal has been consumed, suspecting he's made a meal out of a bat but xrays will show. ... (Named him Snappy McSnappy) obvious reasons.

15.01.2022 Beautiful little Common Tree Snake (Dendrelaphis punctulatus) relocated from a home in Draper tonight after an unfortunate run in with some domestic pets. This guy is harmless however the home owners were unsure so they acted quickly rushing their dogs to the vets as well as calling me to come and rescue the poor guy. He was sadly euthanised. It is so wonderful to see people caring for our beautiful snakes as well as their domestic pets in these situations.... If anyone needs a snake relocated, ID or you find injured wildlife please don't hesitate to call. 24 hours. See more

14.01.2022 Early morning call out to McDowell to this Coastal Carpet Python. (Morelia spilota mcdowelli) DOA, absolutely devastated I didn't get there in time. You can't say you didn't see her! Couldn't slow down? Couldn't avoid her in the three and a half lanes you had at 5.30am Saturday morning? Very sad start to my weekend and she no longer has one.

13.01.2022 Gday Everyone! My original number is back! 0455554010 Wooohooo! I have updated my page info and now hopefully we can get back to normal.

12.01.2022 Call out last night to Kobble Creek. This Carpet Python had gotten into a ladies garage where her chicks were growing. Unfortunately the unwelcome guest had consumed two by the time I got there. This was her first experience with a snake as her and her husband had just bought the house. Despite the not so ideal experience she was happy to listen and learn about these beautiful creatures.... Quite a friendly snake too. See more

12.01.2022 Happy world snake day everyone!

10.01.2022 Lovely Carpet Python (Morelia spilota mcdowelli) relocated from Keperra this afternoon. Shout out to Pat from A1 Snake Relocations for the referral.. Its warming up!

09.01.2022 Eastern Small-eyed Snake. (Cryptophis Nigrescens) Quite a small snake with the average size being around 50cm. They feed on smaller snakes, small lizards, their eggs and sometimes frogs.... Often mistaken for the Red Bellied Black snake due to similarities in colouring at a glance they are however quite different. Generally a glossy dark grey to black with a cream to pink belly. Their belly colouring does not extend up their side like it does on the RBB. They are also nocturnal and as their name suggests they have quite small eyes. These guys are found in Eastern Australia from Cape York all the way down to Victoria. They are ready biters and if handled tend to thrash around. If you do receive a bite from an Eastern Small Eyed Snake be sure to apply appropriate first aid and seek medical attention immediately. They are HIGHLY VENOMOUS and are responsible for one recorded death. Right all the serious stuff is out! Now let's appreciate the beauty of this snake. Remember everyone, whether you love them or hate them. Snakes are an important part of our ecosystem and deserve just as much respect as our koalas and kangaroos.

09.01.2022 A lovely little tree snake (Dendrelaphis punctulatus) relocated from Narangba.

05.01.2022 A call out yesterday to a possum that was found in an engine bay of a ute under a shopping complex. Poor little guy was quite scared and wondering where on earth he was. After bending my arms in ways I didn't know they could bend, then deciding to not become a mechanic because of the grease we got him out. Ended up with a little write up in the Courier Mail too. Massive thanks goes out to Car Heaven Car Wash at Brookeside. So wonderful to see people so concerned for our beaut...iful wildlife. Unsure on the exact outcome of this one yet, still waiting to hear from the vets.

04.01.2022 Beautiful Carpet Python. (Morelia spilota mcdowelli) released for the UQ vets at Dayboro after he was caught in some bird netting in a backyard.

04.01.2022 After 3 months holiday with a critical care rehabber, this lovely girl has headed back bush to live the rest of her life away from humans, bird netting and roads. Goodluck and stay safe.

04.01.2022 Hi Everyone. My apologies but unfortunately I have had some issues with telstra therefore my number that you all have saved in your phone for snake callouts and wildlife rescues is not able to be reached at this time. The new temporary number is 0488233769... I hope to have my old number back as soon as possible. Until then please update your phone books and keep an eye on my page. Cheers Sophie.
