19.01.2022 Principals Address Good morning parents, students, staff, platform party and friends. We have made it through the year together. The staff at this school have worked so hard this year to provide a well balanced curriculum to all students. They are amazing and are so dedicated. What I am the most proud of is that all staff are so kind and caring towards the students. At Sydney Adventist School Auburn (SASA) we not only foster academic success, but we also nurture students’ s...piritual development. When we reflect on the year that was, we can be proud of how we handled the challenges of not being able to teach face to face. Parents, we commend you for supporting the teachers and students through this time and thank you for providing learning opportunities at home. I want to share some exciting plans for our school as it has grown over the years. There are plans to build and develop the school so that we can offer single stream classes to students from grades Prep to 6. Next year we will be accommodating a straight year 5 class in the library. Parts of the room will be converted into a classroom and there will be a shared space between Year 5 and 6. We are hoping to build a new classroom in the future. Praise God. To the graduating Grade 6 students. I want to ask that you never forget your time here at SASA, that you will always carry the SASA way pledge in your hearts and that you always allow Jesus to guide you. Trust in Him and he will lead your way. Proverbs 3:5-6 Says Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your path straight. I want to thank all the students here for being a part of this school family. For always trying their best and living the SASA way each day. Even if you don’t receive an award today it doesn’t mean that you are not a winner. You are all winners. Thank you parents for your ongoing support of our school. For encouraging your children and for understanding the culture of our school. We look forward to seeing you again next year. #adventisteducation #2020speechday

18.01.2022 Abide is a new program that connects us spiritually to Christ, helping us to identify our own spiritual goals and purpose and then working together to develop this for our school, along with strategies moving forward. Abide aims to improve our school culture and allow God to guide us, directed by His word and to grow our spiritual fruit in abundance. Mrs Jo Medbury the Deputy Principal added, At Sydney Adventist School Auburn we were blessed with the opportunity to spend 2 days learning about the Abide program and strengthening our connection to God (the vine) and us (the branches).

15.01.2022 Magic Fun Day Sunday! It was an outstanding day with lots of fun activities. Even a doughnut stall and other delights for those who were feeling peckish!! The jumping castle and inflatable slide were very popular with the younger students. It was great to have families come and spend time on campus, meet and make new friends and associate with teachers in an informal way. Well done SASA and a big Thank-you to our community for your support!!! Mrs Danyel Efstratiou/ Principal

13.01.2022 Our theme this Term is Run the Race! We're encouraging students to be resilient, confident, persistent and demonstrate the ability to get along with others. "By observing the athletes and their examples of how they persisted despite their struggle's, they were able to overcome their fears and thrive. We can apply the same principles from a biblical perspective and become victorious through faith in God." Ps Fabian/ Chaplain #adventisteducation

05.01.2022 Today the teachers had their first online meetings with their classes and it was a wonderful, and emotional, experience as we have all missed having the students at school! It was incredibly heart-warming to see their faces and their happiness when they saw their teacher and their classmates! There is a real buzz at the school at the moment as we are all excited to have connected with our students. This was our first time hosting online meetings and we have received a varie...ty of feedback from parents. The teachers have been on a rollercoaster of learning as we have transitioned into this new phase of learning and I cannot commend them enough for how they have worked through this. They have supported each other through all the challenges and they are on the path to being technology experts by the end of this . Please bear with us as we continue to improve our student’s learning experiences. Thank you for your patience and connecting with us today. We will continue to host these online meetings next week each day. - Mrs Jo Medbury/ Acting Principal #AdventistEducation
