11.01.2022 So very blessed to have met an amazing man and friend although in unfortunate circumstances with the terribly sad passing of Les’s wife Jacqui in Covid just ove...r a year ago, I’ve stood by his side, renovated his house to give him a rebirth and new lease on life as was his wish so this home renovation was definitely a Renovation with purpose and one that touched my heart and soul and Jacquie’s presence was there with me.... Yesterday we had a beautiful wake for her as a tribute to her life and the amazing woman she was taken too early.... I did this beautiful grazing board for Les and his beautiful family and friends and I was so pleased to support, love and be there holding up my best friend Les who’s been so strong and stoic despite his tragic loss, his life must go on and he will and he is and he’s amazing and I love you with all my heart Les! 07.01.2022 Plantation Makeover for Resort Style Living! This home was all walls and high ugly windows and a bare empty soulless shell when I walked in! I wanted some cute... plantation white washed wicker roller blinds to dress the ugly windows! As a rental not easy to get but I’ve asked the agent if the owners will get new window dressings as they can set the space off instead of looking at boring windows! It’s all about setting the mood and getting ambience into your home! Never the less... I’ve done my best to style a very boring box on a budget and now my very happy friend has some mood, ambience and warmth in the place! I did this for love to help a friend in need who has been living in her mums garage for a year while she gets back on her feet! She couldn’t go another year in the cold and wind, mice & spiders in a garage! I had to do something... I know what’s its like to get knocked to your knees after years of hard work to see it all washed away so these days, I help where I can, use my skills to help someone else’s life get better... When you can give, you should give, your talents might be easy for you but very hard for someone else if it’s not their skill set so use what you have & help where you can! I thank the people that helped me get back up into a new business direction where I didn’t have the skills in a new industry but I knew the direction & the people who had the skill and they helped me get up on my feet as I had helped them in the past and that’s what it’s about! In life we walk together, sometimes one of us will fall, like a child learning to walk and you instinctively grab their hand and hoik them back up on their feet and keep walking together... This is friendship and love, helping each other up if we fall... I did this for my dear friend this weekend and she slept in a cosy comfy bed for the first time in a year after living in her mums garage! Now she’s up on her feet and her business will fly as you can only be inspired to work well when your in an amazing space and you get the right inspiration! Had the best meal I’ve ever had in WA today at Voyager Estate...no words to e...xpress except...SUBLIME, both the wines and the food...especially the duck ‘La Canard’ off the charts, melt in your mouth I’m in heaven and think we possibly have the best chefs in the world today here in WA @ voyager I had a French restaurant with Michelin chefs and highly, highly, highly rate them from Bordeaux but I tell you, the Margaret River region is arguably some of the best food I’ve ever eaten across the globe Now we head back to my vintage Winnebago motorhome to stay at Island Brook estate winery amongst the vines!
