We have done most of our work in the hills and we've seen first hand how dry it is out there and how easy it would be for these fires to spread rapidly. Enjoy your time with family but be vigilant. . 25.01.2022 Some of the amazing generosity from the last couple of days. Thanks to Carol for the crates, Helen for the animal and human treats, Helen for the 25m extension cord and Deb for the sheets, blankets etc for both humans and animals. The response has been amazing!! Community is an amazing thing!!

23.01.2022 Everyone here has no doubt seen the horrific affects bushfires are currently having on our country. The loss of human life, animal life, homes and bushland is nearly incomprehensible. In early February SA Mowing and Slashing will be heading over to Kangaroo Island. We will be taking with us supplies for the residents, the wildlife and their carers. If you are able to donate it would be amazing and hugely appreciated. The items below are what is required and will continue to b...e required in order to assist in wildlife rehabilitation and help residents rebuild their lives. Required items : Panadol Cleaning agents (clothes and dish washing etc, floors, surfaces), dishwashing cloths (hard and soft) Extension cords Sorbelene Bird seed (all varieties) Kangaroo milk (wombaroo 7) Pool salt Dog and cat food Saline solution Disinfectant (both Dettol and Pine-o-clean varieties) Feeling bowls and plastic tubs Rubber gloves Boxes of water Garbage bags Berocca Animal carriers General First Aid supplies (bandages, bandaids, burn spray and cream etc). Please note, out of date items will be accepted. Drakes supermarket gift cards are also a handy idea for residents, vets and wildlife carers to get specific supplies they may need. If you are able to help please shoot us a message. We can come to you to pick up or we can provide you with a location for drop off. The support so far for the affected communities has been amazing, let's keep it going, there's a long road ahead.

15.01.2022 Just a quick note for people still wanting to donate. We are adding toiletries and personal hygiene items to the list. Things such as toothpaste, hair brushes, shampoo, tampons deodorant etc. Any questions about anything please don't hesitate to ask. Thanks everyone for your support, the response has been amazing!! 11.01.2022 A couple of pet carriers donated this week, as well as some other little goodies. Big thanks to Bec and Jadzia for these, amazing generosity!! Not long and we will load it all up and take it over to KI for those in need.

We would also like to put a hold on any further donations until we know what items are required for the long run.
