24.01.2022 This is becoming a serious and too common problem in Australia. The Governments and bureaucracy need to do better for our frontline health workers and our community

24.01.2022 "SA businesses have been knocked back when asking for lockdown compo from the State Government, but it’s just reimbursed KordaMentha $57,000."

22.01.2022 Thank you to all our doctors who are keeping us safe and to everyone in the community who are making sure they get tested, wash their hands and maintain the right distance.

21.01.2022 Letter from the WCH Medical Staff Society in the Advertiser this week. "The fact is that the WCHN is under resourced and has been for many years. Many departments urgently need more staff, more equipment and more support for patient care, teaching, training and research. Our only priority is improving the care for our patients and their families. To achieve this we need action from our Executive, the WCHN Board and the Minister of Health.... We also need your continued support."

19.01.2022 Restrictions to ease as at Saturday midnight. Well done SA

18.01.2022 To ensure everyone’s safety, if you are not an essential worker please stay at home and follow the new health directives. Support our frontline health workers as they combat the COVID threat to keep us safe. SASMOA staff will be available but working from home to support our members.

16.01.2022 Are we really seeing more children's services going from the Women's and Children's Hospital We have daily instances of doctors at the hospital speaking out about the dire state of services at the WCH, yet the Government’s response is less surgery. It looks clear that this would be part of an attempt to reduce and downgrade hospital services before the new WCH is built.

16.01.2022 My heart just broke into a million pieces. As humans, we know what that person is feeling, an Instagram user wrote, adding, hell, we know what they are both feeling. And it hurts" Keep social distancing, wear your mask and wash your hands.

14.01.2022 I am only a tiny doctor at the emergency department who tries to do her very best with every patient that I treat, she said from The Playford Adelaide medi-hotel after being quarantined with 90 other staff or patients. As for the hero part, I think every frontline worker is a hero during the pandemic.

10.01.2022 Great down to earth discussion with Dr Sam Alfred on what it is like being an emergency doctor in our public system.

09.01.2022 What is going on with funding and resourcing frontline staff for SA health services? Isn't access to good health care a basic entitlement for South Australians? The video is hard to watch.

05.01.2022 What we know today.

02.01.2022 Happening here as well in some areas time to audit some key services. "The move came as no surprise to the Australian Salaried Medical Officers Federation NSW. The doctor’s union warned that the hospital risked losing more doctors unless management addressed their litany of concern. Maitland is the fourth NSW Hospital known to has been stripped of its training accreditation over concern for the welfare of junior doctors."
