Balloons are among the top most harmful waste items to wildlife often mistaken for food and swallowed, which causes injury and death The release of helium balloons is banned in Queensland under Queenslands Waste Reduction and Recycling Act 2011, while the release of 20 or more helium balloons is an offence in ACT and NSW. However, other Australian states have a lot of catching up to do. What can you do as a consumer? Say NO to balloons and find alternative ways to decorate your kid's birthday party. You can also raise public awareness regarding the damage caused by balloons. Whilst they may look pretty, they really do cause a lot of harm to our marine life and ecosystem. Weve come so far in search of sustainable and planet friendly products These days you can find anything from shampoos to toothpaste in solid form and plastic free packaging and weve come to except to see these products when shoping at eco friendly stores...
