25.01.2022 This is the reason why Timing/cam belts should be changed as per manufactures specifications. Lucky for this customer the pistons didn't hit the valves and cause major damage.

We will constantly monitor the health of our staff. * When dropping off or picking up your car, please meet social distancing requirements in and around the office. When there are a number of customers waiting, this may mean waiting outside for a short time. * When handing over your car keys you will be asked to place them into a snap lock bag. Our staff will handle your keys (unlock/lock, start the engine) through the plastic. For cars that need to be started with a physical key (rather than push-button), we will poke the key through one side of the plastic. On collecting your car, we will empty the key from the plastic bag to return to you. * Our normal service usually includes basic cleaning anyway, but we will undertake extra cleaning of surfaces such as steering wheels, door handles, seats etc. * Our staff already wash their hands many times a day with industrial cleaning products #mechaniclife and we will continue to be vigilant with this. 15.01.2022 Supplied and fitted a new transmission cooler on a Ford Falcon XR6. This aftermarket kit replaces the troublesome factory heat exchanger, only have kits for the 6 speed transmissions at this stage. Hoping to have 4 and 5 speed kits soon and also for the Ford Territory. Watch this space

13.01.2022 Here's a sample of the transmission oil from a 6 speed Falcon/Territory, we found the heat exchanger had failed internally and coolant got into the transmission. We advise having the heat exchanger replaced every 50,000kms as a precaution.
