25.01.2022 I am of the nature of consciousness. I am made of consciousness and bliss. I am nondual, pure in form, absolute knowledge, absolute love.... I am changeless, devoid of desire or anger, I am detached. I am One Essence, unlimitedness, utter consciousness. I am boundless Bliss, existence and transcendent Bliss. I am the Atman, that revels in itself. I am the Sacchidananda that is eternal, enlightened and pure. - Tejobindu Upanishad

24.01.2022 ~ Traditional Asana practice according to Raja Yoga ~ In Patanjali yoga sutras, asana is expounded as sthira sukham asanam, which means steady, easy posture. Asana is one of the eight limbs of raja yoga because of its necessity to support a steady, upright, sattvic posture that can support our sitting practice. If we can not sit upright without feeling pain and discomfort, we can not forget the body to quieten the mind and reach inner peace. Thus, asana is simply one of the...Continue reading
23.01.2022 AYURVEDIC APPROACH TO HEALTH In Ayurveda, there is no disease. There are only two states. Dis-ease (you are not at ease - you are experiencing an imbalance), or ease (you are balanced). Unlike in western medicine where doctors treat the disease like it is a separate entity, Ayurveda treats the whole individual human being, simply by correcting certain imbalances in their current condition. A deficiency is met with the introduction of natural remedy, while excess is treated wi...th cleansing and detoxifying treatments. Western medicine would say that you HAVE a disease. You are a person with a disease. You have diabetes. Just like you have an umbrella. Ayurveda understands it differently; that the symptoms are not separate from you. You are manifesting the symptoms. They are coming from your inner being, and simply manifesting as an ailment on the surface. So, the key element of ayurveda is...BALANCE! It is all about how to remain balanced within yourself as you go through your life, periods of change, periods of transitions, challenges... Interesting, isn't it? Curious to find more about how to heal, how to come back to balance and find ease in your life? Stay tuned for more sharing and teachings coming soon! Blessings to all Wishing you a beautiful day

20.01.2022 Love...Acceptance...Forgiveness...Letting go It all comes back to the same principle: that of living from the heart, living connected to our own heart. There we find the never ending source of love, the true nature of our beings. Everything else is not real, not true. Everything else is just pure creation from our minds, of Maya, the illusion. Especially in these times of turmoil, uncertainty and profound change, it is important to stay connected to our true selves, to our h...eart, and not give too much credit to our fears, worries, inner conflicts. We invite you to stay connected, try your best at all times, to operate from this place of love within you, from your inner well of love. Let us take a second and absorb the wisdom of these words: Judge nothing you will be happy, Forgive everything, you will be happier, Love everything, you will be happiest. Gautama Buddha. May these words of wisdom guide you and accompany you during your weekend! Blessings to all Wishing you a loving, sharing and peaceful weekend
19.01.2022 ~ How can we serve others? ~ Start every day by asking yourself how you can serve the Dharma? How can you serve humanity, society and nature? How can you make the world a better place? Do this everyday. Ask yourself this question. Make this the focus for everyday, and observe the anger, frustration and anxiety fall away. We are on this earth, in this reincarnation to serve the eternal dharma - for all beings to achieve eternal happiness, peace and liberation from suffering. ...This is why we are here, this is why you came here. Embrace this purpose, let it radiate through your heart. Allow awareness to be your compass, allow loving kindness to be your fuel, for every action, focus on the benefit. It is only once we forget about our own suffering that it vanishes for good. If you want to be happy, practice compassion. If you want others to be happy, practice compassion - His Holiness Dalia Lama
19.01.2022 The rhythm of the Universe is that of change. Everything is constantly moving, changing, transforming. "Change is the only constant in life" Heraclitus, Greek philosopher Slowly we are coming to the time where the seasons shift, winter is coming to an end in the Southern Hemisphere, as summer is gently moving into autumn in the Northern Hemisphere. Look around you. What do you see? What colours are the leaves? Are there any flowers? How does the warmth of the Sun feel on yo...ur skin? What smells do you smell? Stop, hold still, breathe. Embrace this present moment and become aware of the changes operating in and around you. Let us allow the season to change, let the Earth carry us to a new chapter, let us embrace the constant flow and rhythms of our nature. Are you ready for a change of season? Blessings to all Wishing you a wonderful transition time See more
19.01.2022 ~ Ayurvedic and Yogic practices to enhance sleep ~ Deep sleep comes to us in the mode of tamas. Tamas represents inertia, ignorance, grossness, heaviness and dullness. In Ayurvedic and Yogic philosophy, it is considered the least favourable mode of nature to interact with. It is necessary for sleep however, so its not all bad. Although the goal of Ayurveda is to purify and become more sattvic in nature, we still want a relationship with tamas. If tamas goes away before we kn...ow how to rejuvenate ourselves while fully awake, we might suffer adversely. Generally, most of us have a pretty strong relationship with tamas, and so this shouldnt be of any concern. The following practices all work in the same way; to pacify the sympathetic nervous system and activate the parasympathetic nervous system. Alternate nostril breathing - Sit and practice alternate nostril breathing for 10 minutes. Breath in through the left nostril, exhale through the right, inhale through the right, exhale through the left. Yoga Nidra meditation - Nidra means sleep. It is a meditation practice of rotating our awareness to different parts of the body. There are many guided yoga nidra meditations you can listen to while you lie in your bed, right before sleeping. Recall the day - sit on your bed and try to recall the entire day, from first waking up, eating, meeting people, everything that happened. The greater the detail, the more relaxing the effect is. Eventually you will fall asleep before finishing the day. Warm milk drink - Boil milk with nutmeg and one teaspoon of ghee. Drink one glass before getting into bed. Foot massage - Massage your feet with sesame, almond or coconut oil before sleep. Dormez bien!
18.01.2022 ~ Siglovda Sutta: Worshipping the six directions ~ On one of his morning strolls, the Buddha came across a householder, in filthy clothes, prostrating in worship to the four cardinal directions, as well as up to the sky, and down to the earth. When the Buddha asked him why he was doing that, he replied I do not know your highness, I was just told that I must. Upon hearing this, the Buddha taught him how a noble one worships the six directions. This sutra is named Sigalova...da (literally Homily of Sigala), after the householder whom he met, Sigala. The Buddha taught that every action must be performed in mindfulness, with a sankalpa (intention) anchored in the mind like a central pillar, serving as a reference point, preventing waywardness, forgetfulness and distraction while facilitating contemplation and wisdom. It is not only enough to be mindful of a physical sensation like the breath as it moves in and out. We must also be mindful of the intention we carry into any task or endeavour. This allows wisdom to flow. An honest intention will serve us as a constant reminder of what we want to achieve from the task, where the focus shall lie, where our heart lies. The buddha taught how to worship all aspects of ones life with sankalpas that are linked to the specific directions. First bow to the north, paying homage and respect to your friends. Next bow to the east, worshipping your parents, considering all the sacrifices they have made for your upbringing. Next bow to the south, worshipping all of your teachers, past, present and those yet to come. Next, bow to the west, paying homage to your wife and children. Next, bow down to the earth (the nadir), paying respects to all colleagues, co-workers and servants who help us in our daily life. Lastly, bow up to the sky (zenith), paying respects to all the enlightened beings, wise and virtuous beings. This practice helps us realise our progress on the path. It grounds us in the present moment and helps us to express our gratitude for all beings who have supported us on our journey so far. Try to practice this today and see how you feel!
18.01.2022 The Shiva Lingam is a symbol of the unity in cosmic duality. The Lingam, symbolising the Purusha - the masculine principle of eternal, all-pervasive spirit, penetrates the Yoni, symbolising the Prakriti as creative potential, nature. It is said in Vedanta that the Purusha simply glanced at Prakriti, and his glance was so intense that it caused her to tremble out of pure devotional love for him. Her trembling amplified as the three gunas kept within her fell from perfect equil...ibrium, beginning to fight for prevalence. With the dominance of sattva, the mode of purity, illumination and balance came the subtle elements, of mind, ego and the senses. With the dominance of rajas, the mode of energy and activity came the impelling force, cause-effect and energy. And finally with the dominance of tamas, the mode of darkness and ignorance came the material realms in the gross elements. All we see, all this world is is the Prakriti - the maya shakti, the feminine nature of creation. But we are not that. We are the Purusha, the eternal presence, the pure awareness of spirit. We are the unchanging, undying consciousness itself, that has become entangled with nature, mistaking her for our own true nature. It is necessary to know ourselves through nature, just as we use a mirror to look at ourselves. We are not the mirror, we are the reflection in the mirror. Prakriti seems sentient because she reflects the light of the Purusha. Just like the moon reflects the sun. The moon is insentient, she does not produce any light. The sun is the source of all light in the world, just like the Purusha is the source of all sentience in this creation. Know yourself as the eternal cosmic spirit, and observe the wondrous creation as an endless means to realise yourself. Look upon the magic of nature with reverence, as it reflects the same light that you are. Nature is here to show us the inherent beauty and intelligence that is in the intention of God. - Daniel White

12.01.2022 The little space within the heart is as great as this vast universe. The heavens and the earth are there, and the sun, and the moon, and the stars; fire and lightning and winds are there; and all that now is and all that is not: for the whole universe is in Him and He dwells within our heart. - Chandogya Upanishad
10.01.2022 ~~ EQUINOX~~ Today is a very special day! Today, the night and the day are of equal length. Today the Sun crosses the celestial equator, an imaginary line drawn above the Equator, to divide the magnetic field of the Earth into two components: the Northern Hemisphere and the Southern Hemisphere. Today the Sun is in perfect alignment with this line, which means that all the influences of the Sun upon the Earth are perfectly balanced, in equilibrium. For us, as human beings, it ...means that the masculine and the feminine energies are of equal level. It also means a shift of seasons: from summer into autumn for the Northern Hemisphere, and from winter to Spring in the Southern Hemisphere. In the North, days will get shorter, cooler and we slowly descend into the darker times, into a period of self-reflection to face our own darkness, and then rise into the light again, as reborn on the Winter solstice (21st of December). In the South, days will get longer, warmer and the energies are building up, as we enter a period of growth, expansion and transformation, intense sunny energy that will reach its peak on the Summer solstice (21st of December). We invite you to take a moment today, to sit and meditate upon what the previous season has brought you, be grateful for it. Feel this beautiful, balanced flow of energy around, and harness it to transit into the next season, welcome it with love and confidence. How do you feel this equilibrium? What does this day mean to you? Blessings to all Wishing you a beautiful equinox day
10.01.2022 It is simple! Healing comes from within We can not reach for external means to heal us. We must reach for natural remedies that help us realise that we are a part of nature, we are a part of the earth, and the earth wants our healing! The earth is naturally abundant. All needs of the body are met. Only greed is not catered for. A humble existence within a harmonious ecosystem is met with joyous applause from the divine mother, disguised in the earth. Our best friend, our rock, supporting our every need, is right here, right now, surrounding us. Hari Om Tat Sat
07.01.2022 ~ Talk about silver lining! ~ The last four months has seen the birth and blooming of Satya Yoga & Ayurveda, our online school of yoga, health and wellbeing. This is a silver lining if I have ever seen one! Amidst the pandemic, the opportunity to dive into my true calling presented itself. It started with a gentle push, a voice in my head telling me to start expressing these teachings online. Gradually it grew, until it became a momentum I could not stop! I have been so for...tunate to harness a bold ambition within me, to challenge myself in creating online courses I did not know laid dormant within me. Who knew the extent of what can be shared over the internet! It felt as if I was in the same room, sharing the space with the participants of the course. From yoga classes to guided dances, chanting and meditation, we really shared! Sometimes I even feel that you can smell the incense I am burning! I felt your presence, it uplifted me, it held me strong and safe during this time, to feel a part of a community, to practice Yoga with other beautiful souls. Thank you so much for joining me, it is an honour. I am grateful in what I have achieved in these last four months. We have held space for over 60 participants across 6 online courses, in the space of just four months. It has been wonderful, full of deep sharing, insights, growth and understanding. I am deeply privileged to share my heart in this way and to explore this space. Now time for a little break, to let the experiences manifest, and to let the new ideas flow. I am honoured and deeply grateful to celebrate these last four months with this new, exciting, dignified online community of like-minded people. I want to thank all of you for being involved in this endeavour. I feel I have learnt more in the last four months than in the rest of my life! By Gods grace may this endeavour continue to grow and expand, to touch more people, and spread Yoga, Ayurveda and ancient wisdom far and wide. Hari Om Tat Sat

06.01.2022 AGNIHOTRA Healing vibrations: sacred fire to help heal the earth and its inhabitants. Daniel is currently on a Homa farm, in the depths of the countryside of Eastern Australia. There he learns how to perform AGNIHOTRA. This is an ayurvedic technology to reverse the polluted conditions and lack of love in this world. It consists in lighting a sacred fire, at sunrise and at sunset, while singing specifik mantras. Performing this ritual truly reduces stress, improves the health... of all beings around, and sends healing vibrations to the earth. Here some information about what the philosophy behind this technique (source agnihotra.ord.au): At sunrise the many fires, electricities, ethers and more subtle energies (or pranas) emanating from the sun extend all the way down to the coordinates where the sun is said to rise. It is awesome. The flood enlivens and purifies everything in its path, destroying what is impure in its wake.. Vasant Paranjpe. Performance of Agnihotra draws life sustaining energies, from this flood to the copper pyramid. Healing is thrust into the atmosphere. Prana in abundance is drawn down from the solar range enabling nature to heal itself. Everything is enlivened by a life force called Prana in Sanskrit .The source of prana is the sun. A polluted atmosphere blocks and distorts prana. Distorted prana produces distorted mental states. To sit for Agnihotra is to experience stress melting away. If Agnihotra is performed as prescribed, the basic effect reaches up to 12 kilometers into the atmosphere and a km diameter around the copper pyramid. Curious? You can follow online workshops on how to perform Agnihotra. We really encourage you to do so, together we can help heal the world. Blessings to all Wishing you a splendid start of your week
06.01.2022 Today we are blessed with the energy of a New Moon. The New Moon in Virgo is a powerful energy to work with in relation to new beginnings, setting intentions and planting new seeds. This New Moon invites us to go inside, to reflect, to feel our body, to really feel it. It is the perfect time for some introspective work, to question yourself and connect with your inner world. What is your body telling you? What feels aligned and what are you still holding on to but no longer ...serves you? What is your deepest desire? What are you dreaming of? Listen, may we all listen carefully to what our souls are whispering to us. Create some time today for yourself, to sit and meditate on these questions, to connect with yourself and become aware, tune into the wisdom of your body, to connect with the cycle of the moon. Create a little altar, with some candles, incense, flowers and anything you like to have near you. Sit, breathe, connect. This is the time to plant your seeds, to start manifesting your deepest desires. Blessings to all Wishing you a powerful, magical and wonderful New Moon See more
05.01.2022 ~ Three causes of disease according to Ayurveda ~ PrajnaparadhaMisuse of the intellect Asatmendriyartha samyogaMisuse of the senses ParinamaLiving out of rhythm with nature... Manifest as a result of the one and only cause of disease: ~ Avidya ~ Ignorance of our true nature (and the subsequent egoism, attractions, aversions, attachments and fears we experience). All disease comes from just three causes. Mis-using our intelligence in ways that is destructive to our health, disrespecting the integrity and sensitivity of our senses, and living out of rhythm with mother nature. Re-establishing integrity in our decision making, respecting the sense organs with kind and soft impressions and deliberately interacting more with nature can catalyse powerful change in our lives. See for yourself!
05.01.2022 Sunday strength & soothe (cultivate energy for the full moon ) - 30 mins
05.01.2022 ~ Ayurveda understands that healing comes from the inside, not the outside ~ We can only optimise the conditions for our own self-healing. Just like we can not sprinkle something on the soil to make the seeds sprout, we can not take something that will heal us. The seeds sprout when they are ready, after they have deemed the environment a conducive place to grow, and after they have nourished themselves from the soil around them. They do not sprout when the conditions are not appropriate. In the same way, we heal naturally, after adequate nourishment, when the conditions are conducive, when we feel safe, loved and cared for. Ayurveda, as the science of life, is concerned with nourishing the soil of our inner garden so that negative seeds of dis-ease are transformed into positive seeds of health and self-expression. Namaste .
