22.01.2022 Hi all, Your community centre is here for you. We welcome everyone. The committee are calling for volunteers to do the bar on Friday evenings and Sunday aftern...oon, and to cook meals for Friday night. If you cook you choose the dish and the committee reimburse the costs. Alternatively there is BBQ food always available, all you need to do is flip a burger and some other goodies on the BBQ. Please let someone on the committee know or post here or message dates you are available if you would like to help out. It’s a really great way to meet people.

On Friday night at your community centre he’ll be serving an incredible Chicken Korma or an amazing Malaysian chicken curry. ... Did you know, he makes all his curry paste from scratch - blending herbs and spices for days? If you’ve never tried one, do yourself a favour - and get there early. They often sell out in super quick time! Bar opens at 6pm. Remember to be COVID safe - sign in and social distance!!

03.01.2022 SAUNDERS BEACH IS NOT AN OFF-LEASH AREA FOR WALKING DOGS! If you are walking your dog on Saunders Beach beachfront please take note that Saunders Beach is NOT an off-leash dog park or walking area. Please be courteous to others and Do NOT walk your dog off-leash, even if you are the only one on the beach. We understand that you know your dog and you know it will not attack a puppy or other dog/child/adult, but, you do not know the other dog and any dog will attack when provoked or attacked. 02.01.2022 From Our Local Councillor: Good morning firstly thank you to those who took the time to come and say hello yesterday. Our Market is small but it will grow and get stronger. I have a favour to ask please. ... Could I ask that you all go to my Councillor page Sue Blom Division 2 Councillor and could I ask you to like and share it so you then should see my council posts. I want our community Division 2 and the whole of Townsville to be as well informed as it can be when it comes to all things happening in our Division. Did you know Northshore Leisure Centre 50mtr pool is now heated and water aerobics is on at 9am and 5:45pm on Wednesday and Friday. 01.01.2022 It’s Halloween on Saturday and our little community has always had a history of supporting our children and their parents in getting into the swing of things. This year, when so much has been doom and gloom, it’s great for our kids to have a bit of fun. If you’re happy for our scary, dressed up little people to drop by your place for a trick or treat, you could tie a ribbon on your gate or door, get your broomstick out, write a sign, leave a trail of blood.....or just wat...ch out for the fun! If you don’t like it- just stay inside and say nothing. Let’s keep our kids positive. Feel free to drop your address below if you’re happy to let the little horrors come to your place!
