25.01.2022 There are some very good boat trailer builders in Melbourne. We are spoilt for choice. I just picked up my new Savage C Series Pro trailer. Why did I go Galva...nised with a Haines 17C? Weight was not a priority for me with a boat this size. It was only 100 kilos difference. Strength, reliability and durability are a priority as I plan to tow this boat allover Australia. My brief to Ben and Joel was to make it bullet proof So He up specked the I beams among other things. I didn't want any cracks like alloy trailers can do. Have a look at the sway kit mount which I had dropped off to Savage to fit when building the trailer. They galvanised it removed the sloppy pins and replaced them with stainless nylon nuts and bolts, removed the old mounting plate and replaced it with a thicker one. Its the extra lengths they go to that seperate them from other trailer manufacturers. Check out the winch post good luck trying to bend that. They made my trailer to fit exactly into my garage length and height wise. It fits perfectly.
