25.01.2022 The final freezer sale! Orders close Tuesday 8pm. Delivery Thursday 17th August Clare and Adelaide min order $80 or pick up at the farm. Keen? All frozen product. Cash only or EFT by prior arrangement prior to delivery.

16.01.2022 Farming is always full of surprises that's for sure, and this weekend, we had our Bonfire (green waste pile) reignite after being put out over 3 weeks ago and watered out on fire ban day. Sadly, it burnt straight at our chickens in their shelters, and while we did lose a few chickens, the shelter bore the brunt of the heat, and our open roof area allowed any heat out quickly a quick dowse of water and it instantly cooled down. Our neighbours were wonderful and were on the sc...ene before Phil even saw smoke (they were all out on headers and the fire crept and went away from the house so no smell or view). A huge shock to us and a very sad day as we are now a little low on our chooks for Christmas. That being said, we have now decided to do another batch of chickens in the short term...to fill these and all the other orders in line. Hugs to Phil who was devastated at this freak incident and thank you to someone upstairs for the wind and fire travelling east and not west toward a full shed of hay and our little farm house. *chicken orders will be filled as best we can over the coming two weeks. 16.01.2022 We have been overwhelmed by the ongoing support of our loyal customers who have travelled with us for the past years, supporting our practices and our products. Sadly, we will no longer be producing product direct to consumers after Christmas. We opened a window into the future of sustainable and regenerative farming practices and achieved industry recognition for our ground breaking work, but now plan to take a break to reassess our plans for the future. We have spent a deca...de developing our Savannah brand, focusing on ‘stress free’ animal husbandry and pioneering the ethical treatment of animals to ensure a higher quality end product. Sustainability and environment have been key identified areas directing the dynamics of the farm, resulting in a successful holistic enterprise. Having achieved many of our targeted goals, we are now taking a step back to evaluate our work a decision which complements an exciting opportunity next year for us to increase and broaden their skills set. Our decision to stop the production and sale of our Savannah Farm meats early next year has also been driven by some clear business rationale. Sales margins are not sufficient to employ staff fairly, whilst there is also no skilled labour pool in our area. We have considered other options, such as specialised share farming arrangements working with young farmers and providing them with a place to learn and grow which, while common in the US and UK, is not well understood here. Logistics issues also form a large part in our decision, with viable transport options to send products to Adelaide not readily available. Although it has been a difficult decision to step back and take a breath, we are confident we are making the right choice. It’s time to look after ourselves holistically too. We are looking forward to living a low key life with less stress in the coming months as we prepare for our clearing sale and get things in order things we haven’t had a chance to do for the past 10 years. 06.01.2022 Ok folks, we are opening up orders TOMORROW for the very final Savannah delivery in mid December. Lamb, pork and some other sneaky delectables- our well loved snags and some ham. Opening tomorrow night at 5pm but there's a few packs already to go now! Deliveries approx 16th December. Get in and ensure you stock the freezer.... Although we may be back sooner than expected!!
