All agents expect to give you a quote when they make a listing presentation, its part of what they do. Dont settle for the first quote an agent gives you. This year marked a mild property downturn due to the coronavirus-led recession, but looking ahead 2021 is shaping up to be a positive year for property with a sharp recovery on the horizon. Australia is now out of recession and the property market is bouncing back, particularly in Melbourne after months of lockdown. 16.01.2022 KEEPING AN EYE ON THE MARKET Sales activity showed improvement: Home sales were up 29.5% in June, after rising 21.5% in May, according to CoreLogics Hedonic Home Value Index. This improvement was achieved in spite of house prices declining 0.7% nationally in June following a fall of 0.4% in May. 16.01.2022 ANZAC DAY 2021 Do you recognise any of these Aussie soldiers who survived the infamous Japanese air raid on Darwin 19th Feb 1942, and the 62 more raids that followed, before being shipped to Lae, New Guinea, to continue the fight against the then retreating Japanese forces. They belonged to the 2/14th Field Regiment, ‘The Broken Eighth’ so named because the rest of the Eighth Division had been shipped to Ambon, Timor, Rabaul and Singapore and been killed or taken prisoner by ...the invading Japanese army. Those captured spent the rest of the war in notorious prison camps. Many died in terrible circumstances. It was wished that the Division would one day be reformed, during the war or after, but the two parts of the Eighth Division were never able to to rejoin, and they will remain forever ‘The Broken Eighth’.
