25.01.2022 Hello guys, Hope you guys are doing well. Due to few things and a lot of participants, we have revised few of the house rules for the Youth Fitness session for the youths to participate properly and to respect the venue.... House rules are as follows 1. You must inform the coordinators few days before the session so we can organise a spot for you. Only 12 participants allowed at a time. 2. Before you can participate you must have signed the public liability form as well as the media release form. The media release form is optional. If you/your parents haven’t signed the form you cannot participate in the sessions. 3. You must be on time. Not super early or late. Be at the venue 5 min early. 4. You must not bring foods inside the venue. 5. You must have Water bottles and towels for the sessions. 6. You must respect the trainer and the venue. 7. Have fun and enjoy. AWMCE team.

24.01.2022 The NSW Premier has announced a further easing of restrictions for border communities. Gladys Berejiklian told the media this morning a number of towns will be included in the border bubble on the Victorian and New South Wales border and hundreds of permits will be allowed for agriculture workers for the upcoming harvest season. "There will be an easing of what border communities can do given the easing of restrictions in regional Victoria," Ms Berejiklian said today.... It's understood regional communities within the NSW/Victoria border bubble will be able to do activities including dining, travel, sport and recreational activities in NSW that are similar to the relaxing of restrictions for regional Victoria that come into affect at midnight. The NSW health order will be updated today with the new rules to be implemented in the coming week.

23.01.2022 Day 1 & Day 2-[ 26th December-27th December 2020] Emergency Food Relief Packages The Albury Wodonga Multicultural Community Events (AWMCE) continued the distribution of COVID-19 relief package for the first on 26 December and second day on 27 December 2020 at Cube Courtyard in Wodonga. The emergency relief food package distribution program was sponsored by the Multicultural Communities Program, CALD Communities Taskforce. Punya Foundation served as an auspice for AWMCE.... The relief package distribution program was attended by the representatives of government agencies, police department, multicultural community organisations, youth groups, international students and community members. AWMCE and Punya Foundation would like to acknowledge and thank the presence of Cr Graeme Simpfendorfer, Dr Penny Vine from Murray Valley Sanctuary Refugee Group, Ms Penny Wilson from Albury Wodonga Ethnic Community, Ms Raquel Vogel and Paula from Victoria police, Mr Kedar Sapkota, President of Bhutanese Association Albury Inc., Mr Roberta Baker from Albury Wodonga Ethnic Community, Mr Peter Matthews from Albury Wodonga Regional Food Share. In total, the AWMCE distributed over 300 packages. AWMCE coordinators Bhakta Bhattarai (Durga) and Mr Om Guragai were very grateful to all the community leaders, youth and the volunteers participated in distribution of Food Relief Packages. Multicultural community leaders and guests deserve special thanks and the Victorian Government for its benevolence.

Gatherings of up to 10 people outdoors allowed You can have five visitors to your home, although they must from the one household that has been selected as your 'household bubble'. Your 'household bubble' cannot change. Infants under 12 months are not included in this figure. Outdoor hospitality venues will be able to open but with group limits of 10, as well as other density rules Accommodation venues to open, but with household bubble restrictions Travel within Victoria allowed across all areas in the 'third step' Schools return to onsite learning from Term 4 with safety measures Weddings: allowed with up to 10 people (including the couple, two witnesses and celebrant). Funerals: allowed with up to 20 people (not including infants under 12 months of age or people required to conduct the funeral). Religion: outdoor religious gatherings for up to 10 people plus a faith leader are allowed, facilities open for private worship for households or social bubbles, plus a faith leader Real estate: private inspections by appointment only, auctions outdoors subject to gathering limits. 20.01.2022 AWMCE team are able to present MULTICULTURAL WELLBEING PROJECT With the support of Albury city council and Albury Wodonga Ethnic communities council the wait is over and we now have a proper timetable for people to refer. The focus was on the mind, body and the soul concept, the physical aspect as well as the psychosocial component of being a human. The session are great platforms to learn, to grow, to have fun and to be a part of the team. Everyone from the age of 10 - 30 y...ears are encouraged to participate.Please share it as much as you can and inform your family, friends and others who may benefit from it. The fitness/boxing sessions have limited space, please book it so you do not miss out. Yoga sessions will running as well , dates to be confirmed soon. Free drink and healthy snacks are provided. Transportation from the Albury and Wodonga to classes and session can be arranged, please inform the contact person.

These activities are targeted to migrants communities living in Albury-Wodonga such as Australian,Bhutanese, Nepalese, African, Philippines, Indian, Panjabi and other CALD communities.... They are a great way to learn new skills, be healthy and to look after your general well-being. We Would like to thank Albury City Council, AWECC, Astha groups and the Wodonga city for the support toward this project. Please note the times may change or vary, if so we will update you guys accordingly. Please share it around so other are aware of the programs and can benefit from them.

13.01.2022 Multicultural Wellbeing Project Yoga sessions for Men & Women have commenced and are running successfully. They are running every week on Tuesday and Thursday starting from 08:30 -10:00 am. Tuesday for men and Thursday for women and the location is Mirambeena centre. We are thankful to AlburyCity Council for funding our projects, Albury-Wodonga Ethnic Communities Council - AWECC Inc. for supporting us throughout our project and Aastha Group for collaborating with us... to run the sessions.
