25.01.2022 The Restore Inner West Line community action group calls on Transport for NSW to implement both Option 2 and 3 in rail planning for west of Bankstown - Bring back "City to Liverpool via Regents Park" - Bring back "City to Bankstown via Regents Park" - Keep direct train from Liverpool to Bankstown... https://restoreinnerwestline.org.au/submission-for-future-/

22.01.2022 "The government always talks about Metro Southwest as an upgrade of the Bankstown line they deliberately overlook the fact it’s Sydenham to Bankstown and there's all these stations west of Bankstown..." https://www.dailytelegraph.com.au//5723eefb55d4b2f79793643

22.01.2022 Transport for NSW has launched an online survey for the Planning for rail services west of Bankstown Station in 2024 including restoring the Inner West Line to Liverpool via Regents Park. The survey will be available until 5pm Monday 27 July. We support Option 2 and will continue to advocate for all stations west of Bankstown to have direct trains to the City Circle. https://restoreinnerwestline.org.au/tfnsw-survey-west-of-b/

22.01.2022 Metro Southwest Extension Bankstown to Liverpool in Doubt 26 November 2020 Thanks to the efforts of local residents and Bankstown MP Tania Mihailuk, the community of Yagoona including Gazzard Park has been saved from over-development plaguing the Sydenham to Bankstown Metro corridor.... The Restore Inner West Line & Save T3 Bankstown Line campaign has received confirmation from Transport for NSW that Yagoona is not part of the Sydney Metro City & Southwest project. Prior to the 2019 NSW Election, Transport Minister Andrew Constance indicated that the Sydney Metro City & Southwest could be extended to Yagoona as the design of the Bankstown Interchange was proving difficult. The T3 Bankstown Line was selected for conversion into Sydney Metro due to its brownfields and property development opportunities. Future train services for stations west of Bankstown however continue to remain doubt with Transport for NSW yet to announce whether 19,000 commuters will have to interchange to reach the City Circle. Draft options for Sydney Trains services west of Bankstown do not include direct trains to the Inner West and City for all stations. The NSW Government’s announced extension of the Sydney Metro Southwest between Bankstown and Liverpool (via a new corridor not the existing T3 Line) also appears to have been cancelled. Transport for NSW has indicated that it is investigating the option of trackless trams and rapid bus services to operate between Bankstown and Liverpool. With much of the proposed Metro Southwest Extension Bankstown to Liverpool scoping area subject to flooding, local residents have previously expressed amenity concerns about a viaduct Metro line along Milperra and Newbridge Roads. Restore Inner West Line & Save T3 Bankstown Line continues to call for improvements to public transport including the restoration of the direct train to City Circle via Regents Park (Inner West Line) from both Liverpool and Bankstown. We remain concerned about the conversion of Sydenham to Bankstown into Metro and the ensuing over-development along the T3 Bankstown Line including at Chester Hill. Signaling upgrades on the T3 Bankstown Line with the ability to deliver trains every 2 to 3 minutes should be implemented as the alternative to the Metro conversion which forces commuters to undertake multiple interchanges to reach the City Circle. 20.01.2022 Transport Minister Andrew Constance has not ruled out converting Yagoona into Metro which would result in the likely acquisition of houses and Gazzard Park, as well as increased over-development.

19.01.2022 Yagoona should not be cut off from Sydney just to appease the interests of property developers from the Eastern Suburbs

17.01.2022 7 years ago the NSW Government started its plan to cut our train services in order to hand over the railway to property developers and private interests. But t...hanks to your support, we have made sure that Gladys Berejiklian will have a fight on her hands if she continues attacking our local communities. The 2013 timetable removing the Inner West Line's Liverpool via Regents Park train including the cutting of the Bankstown Line at Lidcombe was early preparation for the original plan to convert the line into Sydney Metro. We now know that Transport for NSW briefed Gladys Berejiklian about property development and land use opportunities along the Bankstown Line (including west of Bankstown) prior to announcing Sydney Metro Southwest. We have forced the NSW Government to backtrack on plans to replace trains with buses west of Bankstown. As a result of the community action over the past 7 years and the recent Parliamentary Inquiry into the Sydenham-Bankstown Metro, Transport for NSW has admitted that the direct train to City via Lidcombe (former Inner West Line) can be restored using currently available infrastructure. 13.01.2022 Breaking News: NSW Legislative Council Inquiry says NO TO METRO SOUTHWEST and calls on government to Restore Inner West Line - Liverpool via Regents Park, Save T3 Bankstown Line and release the full Business Case

11.01.2022 Please help us stop over-development in Chester Hill. Our shopping centre is going to be rezoned for a 18 storey complex which will worsen traffic congestion and increase demand on community infrastructure!

11.01.2022 Upgrading signalling on the existing Sydney Trains Network is a faster and better value alternative than replacing working train lines with Metro. The Sydney Trains Network can run trains every 2 minutes with digital signalling upgrades. Sydney Metro only has trains every 4 minutes in peak and government documents show no plans to increase frequency of services. Transport Minister Andrew Constance has publicly stated that upgrades to existing infrastructure can deliver services every 2 to 3 minutes on the Sydney Trains Network. 05.01.2022 Thousands of Western Sydney commuters are at risk of having NO TRAIN when Premier Gladys Berejiklian gives herself 35 trains every hour to the City. Unless the ...Inner West Line is restored as both the Liverpool to City via Regents Park AND Bankstown to City via Regents Park service, commuters from multiple stations West of Bankstown will be forced to interchange several times to reach the City Circle. Chatswood in Premier Berejiklian's electorate of Willoughby will have an increase from 20 trains on T1 North Shore Line to 35 with the addition of 15 trains per hour on the Sydney Metro. Birrong Station used to have 2 direct train lines to the City but soon will have none forcing commuters to interchange at Bankstown then Sydenham or Central to reach the City Circle. Please let Transport for NSW know that it is important to Restore Inner West Line - Liverpool via Regents Park and to Save T3 Bankstown Line for all stations to have trains to the City.
