24.01.2022 There is still a blue green algae alert for Lake Eppalock. Thank you Sallyanne Craig for your continued research and interest in our community water. The following extract has been shared from her post.... Given the research around the potential spread of Covid-19 through wastewater, why is @Coliban Water and @Lend Lease still dumping wastewater into the Campaspe, which feeds directly into Lake Eppalock? Isn't this a source of drinking water for Bendigo and Heathcote? And this is just adding to the existing known danger of cyanobacteria neurotoxins, linked with neurological disease like MS, MND and Alzheimers. Lake Eppalcok is entering its seventh month of being poisonous even. to touch. The time for using our community rivers as industrial tips is long past. https://www.sciencedirect.com//arti/pii/S0048969720336433

16.01.2022 Throwback to mid 1980. Finding hidden treasures during ISO.
15.01.2022 This is the noxious river dumping pipe of Coliban Water and Lendlease from their failing sewerage plant at Kyneton this morning. For the third day running it is... set to spew 3,000,000 litres of wastewater into the fragile Campaspe ecosystem, from where it will make its way into Lake Eppalock. That will be over 10,000,000 litres dumped into a small and already choked waterway across just a few days. And it's just the start of the KWRP's winter dumping spree. Since December of last year, the Bendigo water storages of Lake Eppalock have been toxic to the touch and poisonous to the brain with neurotoxins pumped into the water by bluegreen algae that feasted up on all the previous years' nutrient burdening. Coliban Water will tell you this new dumping is 'within licence'. What they won't tell you is that this licence is archaic, and new Coliban Water CEO Damian Wells (who happens to also be exEPA ~ go figure!) has himself described it as a 'licence to pollute'. They will also tell you it meets dilution requirements, but they are stiil peddling fake facts. The readings are taken 43kms away, and do not reflect river flow at the point of wastewater outflow. All this #@!* is entering the river without safe dilution levels. Which makes it DANGEROUS to people and ecologies. With the links between high nutirent levels, cyanobacteria neurotoxins, and fatal neurological diseases including MND, MS and Alzeimer's becoming clearer and stronger, why are not Coliban Water and Lendlease committed to forgoing river dumping in favour of safe technological treatment and full legitimate reclamation? A number of links are included for people to do their own research on the health implications of decades of dumping. Of course, the Campaspe continues past Lake Eppalock and into the Murray-Darling, which has already been found to be suffering an MND disease cluster. I''d be talking to my insurance lawyers if I were Lendlease or Coliban Water. Thankfully, my normal human conscience would never allow me to be them!! https://www.sciencealert.com/link-between-algae-and-mnd https://theconversation.com/toxin-linked-to-motor-neuron-di https://ama.com.au//algae-could-be-behind-deadly-disease-o http://www.australasianscience.com.au//could-algal-toxin-c https://www.theaustralian.com.au//2e8d55deede2d7f2cfc11655 http://www.waterra.com.au//me/r385/system/attrib/file/326 PS Page is open for sharing, should you want others to know
