24.01.2022 How about we make things quite clear, here, right now. Some of the current councillors, seeking re-election, could have done a lot better when it comes to looking after Miller's Homestead .. there are fine young people hoping to become councillors, give them a go. .. Thank you , every one of you , members of the community , for getting Millers Homestead back on the agenda....Continue reading

24.01.2022 Whatever the result of the elections, Miller Homestead Community Support shall continue with its campaign until Miller's Homestead has a settled and secure future as a public asset. The poor track record of some of the current councillors gives us no cause for optimism. For years and years they demonstrated a lack of interest and that was especially disturbing in the early days when it looked as if some councillors were supporting moves to sell the property. Some new counci...llors need to be given a chance to look after Millers, the old ones had a chance and nearly blew it completely. Over 30 years ago a better Knox council recognised the importance of Millers Homestead and did some work towards ensuring its future as a public asset. New councillors are needed to save our beautiful old building and help it take on a new role, linked to the community. See more

22.01.2022 Spring has sprung. Blossoms are blooming, Millers is looking fantastic, even on an overcast day. Please keep up your solid support. We will get back there.

22.01.2022 Sorry, this is a long read, and a reminder that your vote at council elections is important, councillors are elected for four years ,don't waste your vote. Council elections are looming. The future of Miller's Homestead is, still, very much in the hands of the council and the councillors who are elected this October. Two candidates , Jude Dwight, and Mark McSpadden, have entered the contest for Chandler Ward, taking on sitting councillor John Mortimore. ...Continue reading

20.01.2022 Miller's Homestead is located in the Knox City Council's Chandler Ward. Victorian council elections take place in October when voters get a chance to elect councillors for a four year term. Cr John Mortimore currently represents Chandler Ward, being returned to office without a contest in 2016. This year the Chandler Ward constituents have a chance to cast a vote, a chance to decide on a ward councillor. So far it appears there are two new candidates ;... Jude Dwight, Independent for Chandler and Mark McSpadden for Chandler Ward - Knox . If you know of other candidates please feel free to post here so we may help get the message out to Chandler Ward constituents that in this crazy year of 2020 they get to vote in a council election. We have asked, rather bluntly, Jude and Mark, whether Millers has their support. If we get an answer we shall let you know. https://www.facebook.com/JudeDwightKnox2020/

07.01.2022 Congratulations to Jude Dwight, Knox 2020 for being elected the next Chandler Ward representative in the Knox City Council.

04.01.2022 About the elections. If you have already voted in the Knox Council Elections then you may wish to skip over this.. Thank you, this won't take long. ...Continue reading
