22.01.2022 Just listen - don’t even need to say it

18.01.2022 NEW LIBERAL LEADER History was made in WA politics today, with Liza Harvey elected as the first female leader of the state's Liberal Party. She's replaced for...mer leader, Mike Nahan, who resigned last night. The new opposition leader was born in country WA, and has made it clear that regional issues will be a high priority for her, if she becomes Premier.

17.01.2022 Regardless of the noisy minority pushing the refugee barrow, most Australians can smell an inside Canberra fix that does nothing to make their lives better. E...motion is no substitute for common sense. Aussies have big hearts and open arms for those who genuinely need help, but they hate being played for fools. See more

15.01.2022 So first day back in Parliament after Christmas break - we’re still cracking a mention and Mark McGowan still telling furphy’s

14.01.2022 And there you have it folks!

10.01.2022 Big shout out to Black Power aka Noel Smith - Smith’s Transport and all those who supported this trip by donating hay and fuel

09.01.2022 REGIONAL WA DESERVES BETTER This will come as a shock to no one in the bush but Labor MP Darren West yesterday confirmed the McGowan Government "do not agree..." with keeping Moora Residential College open. "I think that money could have been better spent elsewhere," Mr West told Parliament. We Saved Moora College

09.01.2022 Reading a little article in NVN today where the current candidates for Durack in the Federal Election were asked a series of questions on what they will do for the seat of Durack if elected. Have to be absolutely dumbfounded at the response from the Labor candidate....specifically says an example of Shorten getting in will see $450,000 allocated to CMSHS over the next 3 years. Think they might have to up that offer - current Federal Government have already allocated $8.7m t...o our residential college which in turn benefits our school greatly, while we are happy to take any small change the Labor are offering, seems too little too late. Where was Mr Shorten and his Federal members when we spent almost a year fighting to keep this and other educational facilities from being plundered by the current state Labor govt.......yes that’s it, the sound of crickets. Don’t fall for the pork barrelling they’re trying to send our way after the damage their state government counterparts did to their reputation - all smoke and mirrors and pork barrelling at it’s finest.

07.01.2022 Thanks to West Coast Eagles for making the trek to Moora today - some pretty happy kids in there

04.01.2022 Just a little update for everyone who supported us throughout our campaign last year - yes. it's been almost a whole year since we won the fight to save this fantastic educational institution and our town and made a big a big chunk of WA really happy! The refurb of the College will be commencing this term. The money is there and the paperwork is all signed sealed and delivered.... Still though, we wonder why our favourite MP for the Ag Regions is still a little hurt by this success instead of claiming credit, which is the Labor way? DW in parliament yesterday, quoted in Hansard during his Budget speech as saying he did not support this investment for 'a boarding house for only 20 kids in Moora where the numbers are critically falling'? As usual he has his facts wrong - our numbers are doing nothing but climbing.......and 20 kids? It shouldn't really matter how many kids we're talking about, each and every one is important and all are entitled to the same quality of education no matter where they live.....right Darren? In the same speech has also likened the importance of an educational facility to that of a recreation centre in Corrigin - no offence to Corrigin, great little country town - but really Darren? Full of contradictions as usual, quoted further along, blowing his own horn about our state government's investment in a sporting complex in Esperance? Which is it Darren? Are sporting facilities more important than education facilities or are they both just as insignificant in Regional WA? This little speech just shows how much the only 'working' farmer in Parliament actually feels about his regional constituents......meanwhile people like us will continue keeping him accountable and ensuring regional WA isn't treated like a third world country purely because of demographics. Onwards and upwards we say! We'll keep you all informed of the progress once building commences - I'm sure there will be plenty of happy snaps and selfies to come!

04.01.2022 Could have made it nine shows if he was game enough to come to Moora - would have made a good photo op with the commencement of the upgrades? How’d you miss that one Dazza?

03.01.2022 STATE BUDGET the surplus has been delivered on the death of #RoyaltiesforRegions, GST and improved iron ore prices ... and the McGowan Government is now spend...ing more on Metronet, one single metropolitan project, than it is investing in regional development across the whole State. #metrodebt #regionalWAdeservesbetter Read more here https://www.miadavies.com.au/surplus_built_on_the_grave_of_

01.01.2022 CELEBRATING THE RESCUE OF MOORA COLLEGE Labor wanted to shut down Moora Residential College but it was a community campaign supported by The Nationals WA, and r...escue funding from the Federal Government, that kept the school's doors open. Deputy Prime Minister Michael McCormack MP joined Mia Davies MLA and Hon Martin Aldridge MP for a visit to see how Moora College is now thriving. We Saved Moora College See more
