25.01.2022 Register your interest to be involved in the Future options assessment on Paradise Dam by NCEconomics https://consultnce.engagementhub.com.au/ As you know, there is a business case being developed to assess future options for Paradise Dam. Estimating the long-term irrigation needs of the region is vital information to inform any decision. NCEconomics is an independent economic consultancy firm engaged by Building Queensland to develop long-term water demand estimates. NCEcon...omics have launched an engagement hub to enable growers to receive updates on the project, participate in a growers’ water intentions survey, and provide other feedback. The survey is a vital opportunity for growers to advise of their current water requirements and use, and their long-term intentions (up to 2050). Please register to be involved at the website and you will automatically be notified when the survey is released (middle of September through to late October). Paper-based survey forms will also be available at the BFVG and Canegrower Offices. See more

19.01.2022 Today we gathered in Rockhampton with the supporters of the Real Rookwood Weir to urge the voters of Queensland to consider the future of our regions and our water infrastructure and vote for a government that will invest in this.....something the current Labor government and Sunwater have not done! #saveparadise #therealrookwoodweir #regionaljobs
17.01.2022 A year since the government and Sunwater released our region's water.....a year on and we are still fighting against this travesty, the deception and the government's decision to lower Paradise Dam by 5.8 metres at a cost of 100 million dollars without first conducting thorough testing. We need a firm commitment that Paradise Dam will be reinstated to full capacity for the future of our farming families, the future of our region the future of our children..
17.01.2022 Great roll up today at our picnic at Paradise Dam! LNP leader Deb Frecklington visited the dam and was reminded just how important water is to the future of our region! #saveparadise #watergrowsjobs
16.01.2022 Paradise Dam future water demand survey for producers. If ever there was ONE survey you needed to fill in THIS IS IT! We need as many responses as possible to ensure NCEconomics has the most accurate data to work with in their economic report to Building Queensland. ... Fill out the survey online or there are paper copies at BFVG, Canegrowers Isis and Bundaberg. https://consultnce.engagementhub.com.au/paradise-dam-future
15.01.2022 Thank you Senator McGrath for your ongoing support of Paradise Dam.
15.01.2022 Important notice: The time for the Picnic at Paradise Event this Sunday has been changed to 10am.
14.01.2022 Local producers took to the streets of Bundaberg today to share the message they haven't given up in the fight to save Paradise Dam. This region is well known for it's thriving agriculture sector which is underpinned by the water security that Paradise offered. We're seeking a commitment from State Government to restore Paradise to full supply level. #saveparadise #farmjobsmatter #knowwhereyourfoodcomesfrom
12.01.2022 Council calls for FACTS and EVIDENCE to be used in decisions about Paradise Dam.
11.01.2022 As the dust continues to blow across our farms and billow in our windows we are reminded of the importance of reliable water infrastructure for the survival of our region. Landline's story reminds us just how much we have lost this year as we stare down another dry October. #saveparadise #paradisedam #supportlocaljobs Please share this post farm and wide in our community!
11.01.2022 Member for Callide, Colin Boyce, has slammed the Queensland State Government for hiding a crucial document regarding Paradise Dam from the Bundaberg community.
11.01.2022 And....a follow up article from Ben Artup looking at some of the real reasons this government is determined to lower Paradise rather than fix it.......and the reasons are NOT the safety of our community! https://www.bundabergnow.com//whats-really-going-on-with/
11.01.2022 Thank you council for prioritising Paradise Dam this state election. Thank you LNP for committing to fixing Paradise Dam.
07.01.2022 Bundaberg Regional Council’s Executive Director Strategic Projects and Economic Development, Ben Artup, said assurances were needed that all nominal water allocations in the Bundaberg Water Supply Scheme will be maintained and not be transferred to other areas. #saveparadise #regionaljobs #watergrowsjobs https://www.bundabergnow.com//bundaberg-regional-council-p
06.01.2022 This Sunday show your support for Paradise!! Details will be released soon.....in the mean time pull out your hat, your picnic basket and your picnic blanket!! #saveparadise #ourjobsdependonparadise #paradisepicnic
06.01.2022 The LNP will restore Paradise Dam - and that’s a priority. We know water means jobs but instead, the Labor Government is ripping down Paradise Dam in the middl...e of a drought. Today I can announce the LNP will create 5000 new jobs by building two new weirs Cooranga and Barlil and unlock the region’s huge potential. Labor haven’t build a dam for the last 15 years, they’ve cut infrastructure spending by $12 billion and there are almost 15,000 people in the Wide Bay Burnett out of work and desperate for a job. This LNP commitment is a $45 million investment that will create thousands of jobs and drag Queensland out of recession. Stephen Bennett MP Colin Boyce MP - Member for Callide David Batt MP
04.01.2022 LNP commitments, thank you Stephen Bennett MP Colin Boyce MP - Member for Callide and David Batt MP for championing this region and listening to the region's needs Deb Frecklington MP
03.01.2022 It’s not just the farmers they are impacted by the decisions to lower Paradise Dam, the Adept Economics Report show a minimum $2.4 Billion hit to the State Economy. Come on State Government show regional areas you’re not just there to support and progress your city voters #restoreparadise #protecttheeconomy #knowwhereyourfoodcomesfrom
02.01.2022 Calls for the Federal Government to fix Paradise Dam are misguided. Paradise Dam is owned and operated by the State Government. The Federal Government cannot control its management, maintenance or repair. The State Government is the only level of government responsible for Paradise Dam.
02.01.2022 Farmers in the Bundaberg region share a lot of common concerns with farmers in the Rocky/Yeppoon area, who we are visiting today. We believe investment in water infrastructure is vital for the economic health of regional Qld. #saveparadise #realrookwoodweir #watergrowsjobs
01.01.2022 On our way to Rocky to meet other farmers concerned about water infrastructure issues with our current state government.....looks like rain, fingers crossed!! #saveparadise #realrookwoodweir #watergrowsjobs
