14.01.2022 United front - today SA-BEST, the Opposition, other Upper House crossbenches and the Adelaide Lord Mayor reaffirmed their opposition to the State Governments proposed new shop trading laws. Here is our Release - https://sabest.org.au//sa-best-reaffirms-its-opposition-t/

12.01.2022 Question: Why are we campaigning against the Governments decision to deregulate trading hours? The current shop trading hours regulation is a success. Why? Regulation has helped small retailers compete with big national and international chains and has made the South Australian retail sector one of the most diverse in the country. The big supermarkets control over 75% of the national marketplace but only control 62% here in SA. Regulation also ensures workers have the opportunity to enjoy time off on public holidays and Sundays.

10.01.2022 Frank Pangallo (SA-Best), Tammy Franks and Mark Parnell (Greens), John Darley (Advance SA) and Peter Malinauskas (Labor Opposition Leader) have come together to... oppose deregulation legislation introduced into the Upper House. Comment, like or share this post to say thank you and to support local small businesses.

09.01.2022 What impact will deregulation have on the customers? Customers may suffer price rises as businesses raise prices to cover overheads or due to a lack of competition if smaller businesses are forced out by big retailers. Independent stores, including grocers, florists and newsagencies will find it hard to compete against the larger international supermarkets. By removing local businesses, you are removing competition in the market place driving competition down will drive prices up.

07.01.2022 If independent retailers are pushed out of the market place who will stock SA brands and produce? Deregulation will make life hard for growers and greengrocers. Plus the big chains often stock fruit and vegetables and products from interstate.... Driving small independent retailers out of business will also hurt SA farmers and producers because they sell SA produce. Visit stopderegulation.com.au to learn more and take action.

03.01.2022 Its a disgrace that Nick McBride - Member for MacKillop was willing to cross the floor to defer the mining bill, but not to support the overwhelming call from his community to stop the Liberal Governments shop trading hours bill. To protect trading hours and your public holidays, visit https://www.stopderegulation.com.au/take-action/ and send the liberal party a message.
