05.01.2022 This Sunday 27th September 2015 is the day of the "Big Jump" where people are encouraged to jump into the Mary River or their local creek at 3 pm to celebrate World Rivers Day. The Big Jump celebrates that our river and creeks are clean and healthy enough to swim in. It need not be a jump but instead you can wade in and gracefully sit! Come bring your family and have fun in the Mary River at Traveston Crossing bridge at 3pm Sunday for a photo shoot to promote the Mary River Festival and get a special photo for the "Spring in the Mary" photo competition. Been along your favorite swimming gear. Photos will be tagged #MaryRiverBigJump.
