18.01.2022 Four teenagers have died in a horrific single vehicle crash in Townsville overnight. The driver, a 14-year-old boy is in hospital with non life-threatening inju...ries. Police say around 4.30am, a car was travelling north on Duckworth Street when the vehicle has clipped the roundabout at the intersection of Bayswater Road. The vehicle has overturned on its left side and hit a traffic light pole. Four teenage passengers in the vehicle died at the scene. The driver, a 14-year-old Townsville boy, has been transported to the Townsville Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Forensic Crash Unit officers are investigating. Shortly before the crash the vehicle was sighted by police travelling north on Duckworth Street. As per normal protocols, Ethical Standards Command will overview the investigation.
