08.01.2022 On Thursday’s in beautiful Rutherglen it’s Bowling with Babies day. Two years ago we had a wonderful initiative started throughout Victoria with local bowls clubs to help mums with new babies getting out and about again, and incorporate low impact exercise. And two years on we are still catching up ... even post Covid lockdown!!... This last Thursday @amberesque_rutherglen hit up @savoy_truffleco for a #localshout We did a lovely mixed hamper for a very special local. This #localshout was very special as it was for John Ross! A man who goes out of his way to help our community in so many ways. John has made cups of coffee while we have had screaming babies, kids running all over the bowling greens, Many many laughs and many mother nightmare stories. John has set up bowling games for kids and us parents, Made sure there was activities and change tables for babies . He is just a star!! Yes we have played bowls! But there has been a sense of slight freedoms when we all have needed it. We make delicious Sangiovese jelly for their cheese your own adventure fridge. Top quality cheeses sold alongside their beautifully crafted wines. We had a wonderful photo shoot and I will slowly drip feed y’all some teasing food shots over the next few weeks. Tasty menu items which we feature on our menu log. Each week we add a couple of new items and bring back some of our most popular dishes.
