21.01.2022 thanks to those who tuned in this morning to hear me reading poems for Nordwand Yoga Studio, starting our day together with the beauty of language List of poems, two I love and two I wrote: 1. 'The Facts of Life' by Pádraig Ó Tuama 2. 'Good Bones' by Maggie Smith... 3. 'Body' 4. 'Learning Unlearning' which I'll share here. . LEARNING UNLEARNING I whisper to the undergrowth where did you find the sun to grow? Pride dampens my socks. A mooncycle of fingernail crescents wallow in my stomach’s shallow. Aren’t we all just doing our best? Two lifegiving conversations in one long year, they say absense makes the heart grow stronger? You will lose yourself in places, in people, in everything. The Great Unlearning and ensuing Reformation. You will learn all you’re not ready to. Perspective will break your heart. Hindsight will break your heart. You are a rosebud, child. A lifelong adolescent. It will be easier to ask where it doesn’t hurt: These growing pains are all over.

07.01.2022 I am pleased to share all the artists that will be featured in my exhibition and the news that I will also be making a zine alongside the exhibition (!!) IM ATELIER: An exhibition by Savannah van der Niet The exhibition will feature six portraits of Berlin artists, alongside video interviews (In English and German, subtitled). The zine will be a 40pp, full colour, and available to ship worldwide for those who want to support but can't make the event. It will feature additiona...l images of all of these artists in their studios, plus a transcript of the interview. Only 6 of the total 45 photos in the zine have been released. The creatives that will be included in the exhibition are (in alphabetical order of last name): Don Aretino, Fashion Designer (Don Aretino) Rafaella Braga, Painter Johanna Dumet, Painter (Johanna Dumet) Austin Honour, Tattoo and Visual Artist Sasha Perera, Musician (Perera Elsewhere) Paul Waak, Illustrator (paul_waak) With additional interviews in the zine with: Tahnee Godt, Sculptor Max von Senger, Industrial Designer (Standert Bicycles) I am so grateful to all of these people for giving me their time and energy, and I can't wait to share this with the world!
