24.01.2022 Research in the US directly links Organisational Skills to Student Achievement. Written back in 2008, but even more relevant to students today, as technology and information available grows exponentially https://eric.ed.gov/?id=ED501312

12.01.2022 Tutors Aren't Teachers. Tutors Aren't Parents. I can relate to this quote Alex possessed a special quality unique only to tutors. He wasn't Max's teacher and he wasn't Max's parent. Alex was a kid just like Max, going to school, doing homework and trying to succeed. The first thing I noticed was that my son responded to Alex in a way he didn't respond to either his teacher or myself. He didn't resist Alex's instruction and he even listened to him when he gave advice. Honest...ly, I felt a little betrayed. Every time I offered my son advice or help with his school work the response was a predictable "Dad! I don't need your help." And he was right. He didn't need my help but he did need help. He needed help from someone who wasn't an authority figure, someone he could identify with, someone who could reach him. Tutors provide one-on-one engagement, they bridge learning gaps and most importantly, they build student confidence and self esteem. See more

12.01.2022 If your child is struggling in Maths or English or needs organisational skills (more focus and skills to manage several assessments at a time) we can help! We are now a team of 10 tutors, with spaces available in Maths and English/Humanities subjects. We come to you. We workshop at the end of each term and have added even more content on how to answer the question (directive term) and how to write effective extended responses in exam conditions. Love to hear from you, call Kristi on 0477 045107
