24.01.2022 Naaww she's a pretty bit of wood this one! Bowtie splines and resin filling done, lots of sanding to do and then time to build a jarrah bed frame to put it all together. Takes time but can't wait to see it all finished.

16.01.2022 Just finished a cool little project for a cool little cafe, just opened in Mandurah. Pop in and see the friendly crew at The Foreshore Cafe Mandurah for some great coffee, food and beautiful views.

15.01.2022 The trouble with trying to build something "properly", is often you spend a lot of time working on things that for the most part won't be seen. Like these support rails I spent all day yesterday on, made from old roofing jarrah, ready to hold up 34 slats I spent another day making from old pine. This is going to be one solid bed!

14.01.2022 Back onto the big camphor slab bed today. This is the foot end dry assembled ready for final sanding and finishing once the other components are finished. @ Halls Head, Western Australia

10.01.2022 Jarrah gardening station up for auction right now! Follow the link below and join the group to view and bid on it. Raising much needed funds for HALO which are a charity organisation in Mandurah that offer support services to the local homeless community. Spread the word! https://www.facebook.com/groups/pipaas/

09.01.2022 Frame taking shape for this Jarrah gardening bench I am making for a local charity here in Mandurah. HALO are hosting a gardening sale this Sunday to raise much needed funds for the local homeless. There will be all sorts of plants and gardening items for sale, as well as food and coffee vendors, so spread the word to the gardeners in your world. I will post a link to the event in the comments. The bench is built to last from recycled Jarrah, and will be available to purchase at the HALO sale. More pics to come as it progresses.

09.01.2022 This should be a fun build! Camphor slab.. Smells so good! Thanks to the gents at Forest Floor - WA Pty Ltd ..they salvage trees from land being cleared and mill them into awesome slabs to live on.

08.01.2022 Jarrah gardening/potting bench almost finished for the HALO charity gardening sale tomorrow. Just needs final sanding and a few coats of oil. Should look a million bucks and last for a LONG time. If you are interested in this for you or someone else, it will be available tomorrow.. 08.01.2022 I never get tired of seeing the transformation some oil makes to this old jarrah! Most of the this timber was saved from a scrap heap after a 60+ year old house was demolished nearby. So much life in it still.

05.01.2022 Just look at that Camphor Laurel! Such an interesting grain pattern throughout this slab. Getting to the final stages of this bed now, so excited to see this come alive when it gets oiled.

05.01.2022 Just delivered the Jarrah gardening bench to a VERY happy winner of the Halo charity auction. What a lovely lady! The bench will be well utilised, potting all her beautiful plants and flowers. Thank you to everyone who shared and helped spread the word, and supported the fundraiser. Also I had to put a couple of other jobs on hold to get the bench made for Halo, and really appreciate how understanding my clients are, very patiently waiting for me to finish their orders. Thank you so much!

01.01.2022 I'm not typically a Bowtie kinda man, but the occasion called for it in this case. Finicky things they are... Look sharp though don't you think?
