25.01.2022 "I don’t feel like my job is a job. I don’t feel like I’ve worked a day in my life, since opening Chiropractic on Winston. I wake up in the morning and I’m excited about the day ahead, because no two days can be the same, and I’m met with new challenges each and every day which excites me." Yesssss!! Talk about #workgoals to wake up excited about Every. Single. Day. ... It's Member Monday today - and we'd love to introduce you to our vibrant member, Loukia from Chiropractic on Winston. Loukia has been put through the wringer in her first year of business, but is here to tell the tale with a smile on her face! Take 3 minutes out of your morning to read the heart-warming chat we had with Loukia... As well as tell us about why she feels like she hasn’t worked a day since opening her business, Loukia delves into the power of chiropractic, what this strange and scary year has taught her and why she loves being part of our network of strong minded women. #sawmembermonday #soarwithsaw

25.01.2022 OMG, for a year that has seriously felt like about 7 years rolled into one...how on earth is it now December?! Who here is celebrating a birthday in biz or in life during this month? We'd love to say a big cheers with you!

25.01.2022 Isn't this just so true! For all of the epic plot twists that 2020 has thrown at us - you have all stepped up and returned serve. So, if this year has brought a new business idea to light...or if you're a startup, small biz, self-employed or you're scaling up...you can tap into Switch Start Scale services for FREE! Head on over to Switch Start Scale to get started... ... You can book in for free one-on-one sessions with no cost & no limit to the number of sessions! Wendy is booked out until late in Jan 2021, so if you're keen to chat with her early in the new year, it's best to book now! And for those who need a little reminder about the goodness that Wendy provides... Entrepreneurship Facilitators provides you practical assistance to support and encourage you to start a business as a way to create your own job and it is funded by the Australian Government so this means there is no cost to you. If you are a new client, we will start with a stocktake of where you are at, your free one-on-one session can then turn into an A-Z action plan with coaching and mentoring on a regular basis to get stuff done. If you are an ongoing client then you can make a time for a 1 hour Get Stuff Done (GSD) session every 4-6 weeks or so. So good! We've absolutely loved having Wendy from Switch Start Scale in the spotlight this month, and are so grateful for all of the wisdom she's shared. If you missed her Q&A earlier in the month, grab a cuppa and enjoy! https://www.sawoman.com.au/business-partner-of-the-month-s/ #sawbusinesspartner

23.01.2022 This is such a beautiful idea from our incredible SAWer Sandra at Hashtag Insta Prints, who just has the biggest heart. She posted it in our members group during lockdown here, but you know what - any time is a good time to help someone else! Since some of us might be having a little bit of down time, lets all help each other grow by doing some Google reviews. ... Currently I am using Kelly Hody Mkt Etc for my FB ads and getting a lamb delivery from Robyn Verrall at Bullys Meats (expect a review coming your way ladies). When you can't do, help. Most of us have been to an SA woman event and can flick Anita Martin from The Modern Event Planner a review, as well as Flowers In Nature and JAKS Hire and Events. Natasha from the The Sweet Tooth Factory did the cookies at the last event. These ladies, plus the past guest speakers Amber at Kickstart your marketing, Rachel from Hopscotch Branding Studio and Sally from SweetShute are just the ones off the tops of my head but I am sure that you can think of many more. Let's keep moving and help each other grow in the down time. Trust me......when the thank you emails come flying in you will feel amazing! Ahhh - we absolutely LOVE your work Sandra! So blessed to have you in our membership. And, we can definitely think of another to give a review to, and that's Hashtag Insta Prints. Sandra does such an epic job of capturing our events from every angle and making our guests sparkle

21.01.2022 Why are we not surprised?! #whorulestheworld

19.01.2022 http:// THANKYOU + MERRY CHRISTMAS // Wow. What a year it has been. I had planned on writing a big piece about the year that was, what we achieved and what we all got through. But, to be honest, I am just too exhausted - and I'm sure I'm not alone in that feeling!...Continue reading

Absolutely! We're loving Member Monday here today, getting to introduce you to our fabulous members. Right now, we'd love you to put tools down for a moment and say hi to the lovely Mary-Anne from Adelaide Nutrition & Wellbeing. 12.01.2022 Happy Monday! Erm, at least I think it's Monday?! Baha - who else is loving the between week...when no-one needs an excuse to kick back, crack open another bottle or serve up another platter. Love it! Something a little different today..... ... Clearly no-one's wanting to think about their to-do list right now. So, why not take a moment instead about what you're going to do for YOU this week! Whether it be ONE minute or ONE Hour. What can you do to nurture you through the end of the year, to come out into the new year feeling refreshed??? Some ideas: One Minute of Focusing on breath. 5 minutes outside in the fresh air, sun and barefeet in the grass. 10 minutes to sit without distraction and drink a tea or coffee. Find a meditation to listen to Take a 20 minute power nap Book in that massage or pedicure you've been meaning to for ages! Phone a friend & laugh a lot Head to an exercise class or yoga. Or...what else? Love you to share with us!

12.01.2022 Do you need this little reminder? Or better yet, do you need to take this on as a gentle challenge for the week? What have you been procrastinating about because it needs to be "perfect"? Or, do you need to reach out for help to get something rolling? If you were looking for a sign...this is it!! ... Happy Monday y'all xx

09.01.2022 Stop. Just for a moment. And take a deep breath. Breathe in, 2,3,4,5. Breathe out, 2,3,4,5.... Today I was nearly in an accident. A car pulled out from a side street, looked one way and then pulled out right in front of me. Had I not been paying attention and watching them suspecting they may not be looking and if I hadn’t already slowed down in anticipation, I would have T-boned them. It had me pay extra attention to what surrounded me today. In the car parks. On the roads. In the shopping centres. Everyone is in a hurry. In a rush. The looming deadline of Christmas bearing down on us all, just another load of pressure on our shoulders. But just for a moment stop (Especially in your car!!) Pay attention. Take a moment to focus. If you don’t get that particular present that one of your kids has changed their mind on - it’s ok. If you forget the tomatoes for the salad - it’s ok. If someone stole your car park - it’s ok (ok yes they may be a jerk, but there will be another one!). If they’ve sold out of dinner rolls and it’s just a loaf of bread that’s left - it’s ok. This year has been full on, for many of us business owners who have been holding on by a thread for a better part of the year, it could be the selling out of bread rolls that breaks you. But Remind yourself of what Christmas is about. It’s not about the ‘stuff’. It’s about moments. Whether they are as simple as taking in the joy of Christmas lights in your neighbourhood, or it’s the joy of a full table of family and friends. And also it’s ONE day. The shops are open again on Saturday. You’ve made it through a whole year filled with pivots, you will make it through any forgotten tomatoes with gusto Sending love to you all through this Christmas period. Stay safe and well and I hope your day also brings some rest for you. Xx Carly

08.01.2022 Are you here with us to not feel alone in the small biz world? That you're not the only one who's struggling with parts...or the whole damn lot sometimes? When we chatted with our December Biz Partner, Amanda from Pebble & Palm Interiors, about why the SA Woman community is important to her & what she's gained from it...... She wanted to be a member so she could be with other women in the same boat. And, as well as getting that virtual hug from sharing struggles & wins, Amanda has also been so motivated by the other incredible women in the group who are flying the flag for South Aussie women in business. Ahhhhhh.....this whole response gave us all the feels. "I first joined SA Women, as I was desperately looking for people that were having the same struggles as me. I was new to business ownership and knew I had a lot to learn Oh my gosh, so much to learn. I’ll be honest, I also thought that the SAW community are my target market as well. So thought it may be an opportunity to promote my little store. I have made some amazing friends from the group shout out to Carly and Mel, these gals make me smile a lot and have become such important people in my life. I think hearing the stories other SAW share, helps me a lot to. Sometimes it’s nice to hear people having the same struggles as you, and it also nice to share in their wins too. I love a good story, it motivates me to be better at what I do." We have absolutely LOVED having Amanda in the business spotlight during December & are so grateful for her honesty and inspiration that she's dished out across the month. Not to mention adding to our must-haves list from her absolutely gorgeous store at Warradale!! 08.01.2022 "Don't try and be perfect - Get your ideas to where you are art least 80 per cent happy with them and get them out there. You can't perfect something if no-one knows about it." Right? ... We kicked off the day saying done is better than perfect, and it just so happens that our fabulous member, Sarah Coligan, from Profiler PR thinks the exact same thing! Woohoo, Member Monday just keeps on getting better! You might remember Sars from when she featured on our blog back in July, giving us all some cracking tips on how to get PR to raise your profile. Well now she's back! And, this time, we dive into what she loves most about her business, the best piece of advice she's ever heard and more. You know what to do. Take a breather & enjoy this 1 min read. #sawmembermonday #soarwithsaw Oh and we'll save you the hassle of hunting for her guest blog. Here you go! https://www.sawoman.com.au/how-to-get-pr-to-raise-your-pro/

05.01.2022 Oh hi there, theme for 2020. You've tested & twisted us in every possible way. But we're still here. One month left of this year, and I'm fairly sure we're all looking forward to taking our newfound strength, resilience and creativity into next year and beyond!...

05.01.2022 "As the General Manager I see my leadership role is an opportunity to a make a difference in our industry, shape peoples futures and affect change through people. I am not only talking about the impact I have on my team I am talking about my whole community, that is everyone I come into contact with; our suppliers, the couriers that deliver our materials, the snack bar that makes and delivers our lunches. The responsibility of my community wellness is what I take seriously."... Bam Absolutely LOVE this from Silvia Frost, who is General Manager for Power Generator Systems, a valued SAW member and a Finalist in our SA Woman awards in the Backbone category. How good is this answer to what Silvia's biggest hurdle has been... "My biggest challenge was realising that as a leader I don't know it all, and I shouldn't project that I know it all and knowing how and when to admit it. To say I don't know to my team has helped to build stronger connections with my team, and has actually elevated my leadership and makes me an honest leader." Grab a cuppa and be inspired right throughout this 3 min read! #sawmembermonday #SoarWithSAW
