24.01.2022 From Saturday's classes.... here are my three versions of Miriam and four of the landscape - the two subjects at both of last Saturday's classes. (some done as demos during the paint along sessions we had) They are all about A4 in size. Enjoy

23.01.2022 Sorry.... My recent post "Ollie etc" appears, upon closer inspection, to have been a preparatory sketch to my final painting. In the finished work I attempted ...to bring out more of his on screen character with changes to the eyes and elsewhere. On another topic... I often have mixed feelings when I sell a work. Such is the case with the little painting "That worried look" which has now gone to a very astute art lover. It remains a favourite of mine, a work in which I pushed watercolour about as far as it will go. Enjoy

23.01.2022 Milestones We all reach them at some stage. I've just reached a personal one and also 5000 friends on Facebook and I'd like to say thank you. I really apprecia...te the support from all the comments and likes I get for my posts. While I may not respond to all I do try to read everyone of them. I am in awe of the number of people who practice art and who appreciate fine art. While I am unable to have more friends here from now on please join my followers list Here, in celebration, is a painting from an online reference photo. I painted it some time ago but hadn't posted it. Title: Ollie, Ollie, Ollie Watercolour on Arches 300 rough Size: half sheet Please enjoy See more

23.01.2022 Adelaide - despite the recent scares - is still the one of the best places I've ever lived in. Sure we have our share of inconveniences but on balance we remai...n very fortunate indeed. Local art groups are getting back and running and SAWS is one of them. So fellow members I'll be there on Saturday to share what's been happening. Meanwhile here is a sampling of my recent meagre activities in watercolour. All are about A4 in size and on a range of papers. Enjoy See more

18.01.2022 Since my April exhibition was cancelled, I decided to keep it on-line; I'll post every day of April a different painting on Dan Nastasie art - keep safe https://www.facebook.com/dannastasie28/

16.01.2022 There comes a time in the life of a watercolourist which inevitably leads to the painting of a chicken. It's unavoidable, inescapable. So here's one from this ...week along with a bunch of others .... all are under A4 size ... some under A5. BTW the SAWS exhibition SPLASH20 is still on at GalleryM until Sunday 6th September. You'd be mad to miss it. See more

16.01.2022 My way of recycling.

13.01.2022 It's been a beastly week... so to speak. My watercolours for this week have been mostly animals. Here's a selection, including a number of steps in painting the... largest raptor in the world, the Australian wedge tailed eagle. Only the lioness painting is bigger than A4. I had a lot of fun painting these so I hope you enjoy them. See more

13.01.2022 Six mini watercolors 15 X 10 cm

13.01.2022 2 of my latest paintings that I have entered into the Walkerville Art Show 2020. Fingers cross as there has not been a lot of income for us poor artists this year. The show is on: 2nd 5th & 8th 10th October 2020 St. Andrew's School... Church Terrace, Walkerville, SA More details: https://walkervilleartshow.com.au See more

13.01.2022 As part of the Fringe, SAWS founding member, Haley O'Shea, has work on display at the Rising Sun Hotel Bridge St Kensington.

08.01.2022 Watercolours don't have to be on expensive paper... Here's a few that were painted on ordinary paper, on brown packing paper and even the inside of cereal packe...ts. All from this or the last few weeks and all less than A4 in size. In the end it's all about the journey not the destination. Enjoy. See more

08.01.2022 ‘Dribbles’ The big pig from Causey Farm, Ireland. Dribbles is not his name but maybe it should be. I could have left the dribbles off but that just would never have been right. Watercolour/pen on Arches 300 gsm medium, 20 x 20 cms.
