22.01.2022 The boys are all loaded up ready for the Australian Titles in Tamworth on the 23rd-25th April.

22.01.2022 Thanks to Shane Thompson and Deon Ryan for letting me have a go at your wingless

21.01.2022 Calem and Lachlan are locked and loaded at the Australian SKAA Titles in karts. Calem has stepped up to seniors so is running in the C5 BRK kart. He won’t be defending his Australian Title now he has stepped up to seniors and running in the Standards division. He is again running again in honour and memory of Brock Stead who was the force behind speedway go-karts in North Queensland. Lachlan is running his C51 Tony Kart in the Junior division. He is excited and everything ...on his kart is looking schmick. Thank you to their sponsors - Echo Park Speedway, Team28, Bravus Mining and Resources and PitStop Karting

15.01.2022 Australian Title Wrap-Up Well what a disappointing weekend last week. The new BRK kart had plenty of speed but with a one-lane track was hard to get from the rear to the front in the heats and the feature. Finished 1st in first heat, 10th in 2nd and 8th in 3rd heat placing me to start out of 15th in the feature.... Turn 3 in the first lap seen cars in the front pack spinning and the following field having nowhere to go with about 12 cars coming together. The race was a complete restart. Throughout the 20 laps there were 7 stoppages from errors made by front/mid runners. On about 3rd stoppage I was smashed in the rear by kart 10, causing the rear bar work to fold onto my rear left hand side tyre acting like a brake. I finally got up into 8th position before another stoppage resulting from the frontrunners spinning out. For some reason I was continuously put to the rear of the field (in front of the karts who were deemed the cause of the stoppage) on each restart. By lap 14 the car was flying even with the damage to the rear of my kart and I started to create my own raceline and making moves around the outside of karts, but however left it too late to be a challenge. Lachlan had a rough time during his heats but did an amazing job. He is starting to get his driving skills down pat and drove like a little champion in the feature. He got through it without spinning out and his kart was flying. Unfortunately 2 laps to the end 2 karts spun in front of him and as his accelerator got stuck on again he spun his kart to avoid colliding with them and to stall his kart. He couldn't be restarted due to the accelerator being stuck on ending his championship race. We want to thank our sponsors - Echo Park Speedway, Bravus Mining and Resources, PitStop Karting and Team 28 - for their continued support. We couldn't have done it without the wonderful support and help from Jungle, the Parker Family, Jackson and Peta. You guys are legends and we really appreciate the support and your friendship. It was great to catch up with our brother, Harley, Tamika and William, who travelled down from Maitland to watch us race for the first time. Sorry we couldn't bring the silverware home, but it was great to see you guys after not being able to for so long because of Covid. Thank you for helping mum in the pits Harley, we really appreciate it. Dad was disappointed he couldn't help out with his collapsed lung but it was good that we could actually get to the event as we didn't think with his condition we would even make it. Congratulations to the new Australian Champions and placegetters on the weekend. Thank you to the club for putting on the event. See you all in South Australia for the 2021/22 Australian Titles - hopefully with better results.

11.01.2022 The current Australian Title Champions - will it all change tonight.

11.01.2022 Lachlan didn’t get off to a good start. Car spun in front of him and he had nowhere to go. Didn’t get pushed to gate to get restarted with starter so DNF. Calem had a blinder with restart after restart from cars spinning but took the win. Hard track for tyres. Shredded brand new tyre already.

04.01.2022 Well with the Qld Title this weekend in Maryborough more than likely being Calem and Lachlan’s last kart title before moving onto other speedway classes I thought I better get off my backside and quickly do a t-shirt up for Calem - something quick and easy while we finalise their proper shirts. Calem will have his first meeting in a Wingless Sprint in Cairns at the Double Header and Lachlan will be moving into Junior Sedans. Thanks to Tanya at Printed Possession for getting them printed in a 1 day turn around - you are a legend!!!
