25.01.2022 Hello folks if anyone is still out there. I hope you all have a happy new year. Now to training. I am back to full time training after some very difficult years. So lets start with a good example on how we inadvertently train our dogs. We must always be aware that although we sometimes think our dogs are having a timeout they are in fact still very aware of what we are saying and doing. For example the photo on the left shows my dog Zeus resting near the end of our morning ...walk. The photo on right shows Zeus reacting to my command of "O. K mate lets go"and as you can see that is not the reaction I want for the command. The reason for this is that the corner of rest is very busy, especially with tourists who when they see Zeus in the posture think it is a green light to pat, tummy scratch and take photos of Zeus.I havent discouraged this because he unlike me loves the attention. So because he received what he perceived positive reinforcement for lying on his back he has associated the command "O. K. mate lets go " with what he understands as positive reinforcement. This as I said is a very good example of inadvertently training our pooches. See more

25.01.2022 This is 19 week old Mako a handsome & fun loving German Shepherd Dog. With a dog Mako`s size it is important to make sure he is not pulling on the leash & don`t forget he is a pup, so short & sharp sessions. Mako & family did very well today.

23.01.2022 Remember when doing any training with your dog always take weather conditions into consideration. Today it was 40 degrees outside so the only training I would do would be teaching a dog to swim or in the case if Coco the training was inside. While the heat for my old mate Zeus means more walks and shorter distances.

22.01.2022 Hi folks I am looking forward to getting back to work after a very challenging couple of years. My 1800 729 665 number should be up and soon so dont hesitate to give me a call if you have any problems or even just to give me an update on your best friend. And you should remember exercise will leave your dog relaxed & less problematic like my boy Zeus.

22.01.2022 Here is our newest member of Saxon k9 baby Brutus. Brutus is s Bull Mastiff.

21.01.2022 Even though Ziggy is a big dog he doesnt need a huge amount of space as long as he gets mental & physical stimulation. As you can see here he is a pooped pup.

21.01.2022 A puppy Beagle fest in Armidale. 9 of them I was in heaven. It was a tough gig.

19.01.2022 Today is my birthday. Nobody shared my photo because I am disabled. Can I get a wish? Is there anyone who can share my Photo?

19.01.2022 And of course this is where you end up when you try to hump the trainer one too many times.

19.01.2022 Yep doesnt`t get any better than being smothered by 9 puppies.

18.01.2022 My hiatus is almost finished for a while & i will be heading back to Sydney for a while but still had the pleasure of interacting with Molly & 12 week old Shakin.

18.01.2022 This is my Moose the Bull Mastif who needed a new home. 16.01.2022 Ollie at 14 weeks.

16.01.2022 Here is Ollie 2 weeks later and ready for his walking & recall training.

15.01.2022 These 2 have had enough, time for a nap.

14.01.2022 Frank`s 1st session.

14.01.2022 No matter how good your recall is your dog is not safe off leash around traffic. Not for the first time did I nearly hit a dog that ran in front of my car because the owner thought it was cool to have her dog walk off leash around traffic while she is on the phone. It is only a matter of time before that dog will be dead or seriously injured.

13.01.2022 What the hell is this ball of fur?

12.01.2022 This is 2 year old Willie my last customer before my hiatus. Willie is a sensitive dog so we will focus on confidence building and using more praise than correction. Willie & mum did very well tonight & I think they will enjoy their new outlook on life.

11.01.2022 Stella has had a shoulder operation recently so she is limited in relation to exercise so make the walks short & sharp and try to introduce more mental stimulation it will save you a lot of damage. She was a pleasure to train.

11.01.2022 Ernie protecting our accommodation in Armidale.

11.01.2022 Baby Brutus is still pushing boundaries so the family are making sure everyone is on board and remaining consistent with his training.

10.01.2022 Here is 15 month old Angus the Staffy. Most of the session was validating the training his Dad's already had in place and a plan for some tweaking. Good boy Angus.

10.01.2022 Here is 15 month old Angus the Staffy. Most of the session was validating the training his Dads already had in place and a plan for some tweaking. Good boy Angus.

07.01.2022 This is Hilly a 4 year old Labradoodle who was used to breed in a puppy farm. Although she is a beautiful dog she has anxiety issues due to lack of socialization.

07.01.2022 Well I am back from far North Queensland and back in business after a very tumultuous time with family issues and illness. My father recently passed away after a arduous illness. So I would like to get back to my passion of training dogs and humans. My business number is now 0423 920 286 so dont hesitate to give me a call so we can get to solving any issues you may have with your best friend.

06.01.2022 That dog was and probably will be seriously injured or even killed. The reason why and the biggest problem in the dog training world is PERCEPTION. Too many people get dogs for the wrong reasons and perception has a lot to do with it. I have had people ignore their dogs safety and well being because they wanted their dog perceived differently. Sadly there are people out there that will also help train your dog with perception and not safety in mind and when it doesnt work out the dog in a lot of cases ends up in a rescue home. Trust me when I tell you if you are more interested in perception than safety I can guarantee it will not end well for your dog.

05.01.2022 This is 9 month old Stella the Rotty. Stella has a great personality and is very loving. It is just a shame people see these sort of dogs as aggressive or bullies when they usually have great temperaments & love people..

05.01.2022 Yes have been slack with photos but could not resist Frank. He brought back memories of my working days...good boy Frankie.

05.01.2022 Meet 3 month old Coco. We addressed her toileting and nipping issues as well as preparing her for the big bad world outside. Our training plan will include confidence building exercises around her front yard and then somedocalisi g with other dogs.

05.01.2022 Ollie looking innocent but I have a feeling he is trying to con mum.

04.01.2022 This is 3 year old Lola who is a cross Kelpie rescued by a loving family from a pup.

03.01.2022 This is 6 year old Thunder the Staffy. Unfortunately Thunder is affected by circumstances beyond his or his familys control so we had to tweak his training to suit his environment. Once again sadly it is a case of other dog owners not taking responsibility for their own dogs. But that wont stop Thunder having a ball...or 2.

01.01.2022 One of mums favourite of Ollie.
