She has been teaching for over 40 years and is a teacher who makes a difference to all. Miss Emma Jane teaches from 2 years upward. Ballet, Jazz and Contemporary. Miss EJ trained at Sayers from 4 years old to gaining her RAD teachers qualification. We are proud she passing on the Sayers traditions and way of teaching.

24.01.2022 PART ONE...12 months ago we took 23 students to NYC & LA on a dance education tour. We made beautiful memories together with our friends from @thepremierdance @kimberleywoodgerdanceacademy we can wait to do it again one day

23.01.2022 This year is our 45th Anniversary since Vivianne Sayers had the dream to open a dance school that produced dancers and dance lovers. Due to Covid we cant have a big celebration for our 45th Anniversary so we are sharing some memories of our 40th. We are immensely proud of the generations of dancers who have gone through our school and even prouder of how many have stayed in touch. Here is to many more years

21.01.2022 We received this lovely photo from these gorgeous girls after they had just purchased their 1st pair of Pointe shoes! What do dancers do to celebrate such exciting times? Get icecream together. We love the friendships made through dance and these girls are the perfect example. And we love seeing them all in their SAYERS shirts

19.01.2022 What to wear in cooler weather? As dance teachers we need to correct posture and placing. So the cross-over is the perfect answer as it is tight fitting, allowing the teacher to correct the student ,keeping the dancer warm at the same time.We have pink for younger grades and black for all others, including Jazz and Tap students. This is a part of our uniform and can only be purchase from our shop. After dance class it is important to keep our muscles warm to prevent injury. Many students choose to proudly wear our Red SAYERS jacket. We have limited sizes left so come into the shop ASAP if you would like to purchase one.

16.01.2022 Part Two. Memories 2019

16.01.2022 Excitement for these Ballerinas! Many now have teacher and Physio approval to achieve their dream of getting Pointe Shoes. But before you can wear Pointe shoes you need to know how to sew the ribbons on and tie them properly, so thank you Miss Emma Jane for teaching this last night. Not all start Pointe at the same time as safety of each student is paramount,so each child is assessed on their strength, physical maturity, technique and commitment. These students have all been taking our Pre Pointe lessons and we are proud of their work ethic.

15.01.2022 Time to get new shoes or uniforms, or just pop in to meet our wonderful admin ladies. Office and shop hours are 18th- 20th Jan 9-12pm 27th & 28th Jan 2.30-5.30pm... Term one resumes Friday 29th January Term once invoices have been emailed. This is our way of confirming your class. If you did not receive an invoice it means you have not enrolled. 12.01.2022 Today was the beginning of 20 students participating in Vocational exams over the next week. Mia ( Miss Mia is a wonderful mentor to many of our younger students) entered her Advanced 2 exam, which is the final exam of the Royal Academy of Dance. Congratulations Mia and all students on your dedication, all participated in Zoom classes during lockdown. We are incredibly proud of you all. 06.01.2022 We had an amazing evening with Alumni student Alexandra Rodrigues! She gave a stretch and Yoga class using the backmitra to get every muscle working. Ive never seen our seniors so Zen at the end of a class!! Alexandra is now a well sort after teacher after working in Vancouver for 10 years. Alex is pictured here in one of our Kenmore Centre Court show more than 20 years ago. Miss Nadine is always so humbled to have former students stay in our lives

05.01.2022 ALUMNI NEWS: Ted Cooper has moved from ‘Ballett am Rhein’ to the ‘Vienna State Ballet Company’, known as one of the worlds best ballet companies After months of Covid lockdown they have finally had their 1st performance. Ted was a Sayers student( bottom Right photo ) until his Advanced years, before being accepted into the Bolshoi Ballet School, Russia. His dedication, commitment and perseverance helped him to where he is today. Sending you love Ted and we hope it was an amazing feeling being back on stage xx

04.01.2022 The Royal Academy of Dance Australia have teamed up with Emma the yellow Wiggle to spread a message of reassurance to young dancers who are emerging around the world from COVID-19 lockdown. Research tells us that dance has such huge benefits on the physical and mental well being of children and this film reminds young children and parents that dance class is a safe place with increased hygiene and social distancing protocols in place. Thank you to our SAYERS team for keeping our studios COVID safe and for giving so much happiness to children in all your classes.

03.01.2022 Our job is not just about the steps and routines. Our students become a part of a very special dance family. SAYERS staff very often catch up with former students. Today Miss Nadine had the pleasure of reconnecting with 1990s student, Susan and her gorgeous daughter. We feel so lucky to have so many beautiful children through our school who we still connect with

01.01.2022 A quick note to thank all parents and students who continue to follow our COVID rules at drop off and pick up. The students have amazed us with their confidence in entering the studio without an adult, putting on their hand sanitizer and taking their place using social distancing.....and this is from our 3 year olds also!!!!! Just a reminder,please help us to ADHERE TO COVIDSAFE GOVERNMENT GUIDELINES by keeping your child at home with any sort of illness. We need to keep our staff and all other students well.
