20.01.2022 One of the best changes to the budget was the opportunity to top up your super pre 30/6/18 to get a tax deduction. At SBA, we have had a record number of our clients do this in June to maximise their Super and receive a great tax deduction. Most clients obtain their group certificates in July, have their tax finished by the end of July and get a very healthy cheque from the ATO in early August. They can pay this against their debt. The key here is to have access to a large lump sum of $$$ in order to do this. Another reason why you need a good adviser to grow your wealth.

20.01.2022 Does your Super pay your spouse a pension on your passing? The majority of people dont think they need advice. Many dont think about issues until after the event. The majority of super funds that most people are in only pay a lump sum on death and not a pension to their spouse.... Do you know what this could cost you and your family?

19.01.2022 Ever received a letter in the post like the one attached? We are often very sceptical about these kinds of notifications, as we should be! However, it is important to know that theres billions of dollars in unclaimed money out there owed to many millions of us. Money owed could simply be from an old bank account, address, super fund, electricity bill, anything really!... At SBA Financial, we specialise in locating unclaimed money and when one of our clients recently came to us with the attached letter, we were able to locate it and claim it on their behalf (without charging anywhere near what the initial company was) - they will receive their funds in the coming weeks no problems. As long as you can provide proof that you are, or once were connected to the address listed on the claim by providing a rates notice, utility bill, bank statement etc, there will be no issues. 15.01.2022 Listening to 774 radio yesterday and they had a legal expert talking about Superannuation. A number of callers enquired about Centrelink, a tax issue with their SMSF, how they should invest their Super and about about how the proceeds of Super would be taxed if withdrawn. The expert did not know about Centrelink or the issue with the tax office. Her comments regarding investing were somewhat brief. Next time ask your Adviser, Accountant or Solicitor what their net worth is and what they have accumulated over their lifetime. That should be the starting point of a strong working relationship. Ask plenty of questions re: experience, stories of achievement and net worth.

05.01.2022 Thanks to those that came to our mid year seminar last night. One of the big things we discussed was the hidden fees that funds often dont disclose to you especially the indirect fees or expense fees. Ten different funds were displayed, compared to the top 300 stocks over 10 years and the returns compared to the risk taken, or what we call the volatility. If we see another GFC there will likely be a lot of ANGRY investors out there - most think their money is safe. If you w...ere invested in the top 300 stocks in the last GFC, it took over approximately four years to get the capital back compared to just over two with funds our clients were invested in. So if you want to REALLY know what you are paying in fees, please contact our office for a second opinion. Our clients have enjoyed excellent returns for a lot lower risk than they needed to take.
