22.01.2022 The Victorian Government has changed the restrictions as more Victorians have been diagnosed with CoronaVirus (COVID-19) in the past week. These new restrictions are needed to help stop the CoronaVirus from spreading to more people, and to keep you safe. ** What do Stay at Home restricions mean? ------------------------------------------------------------... From 11:59pm tonight, Wednesday 8th July, there will be four reasons that you can leave home: 1. Shopping for food or other essential items 2. To provide caregiving, for compassionate reasons or to seek medical treatment 3. For exercise (outdoor exercise only, with only one other person, or members of your household) 4. Work or study, if you cannot work or study from home Otherwise, you must stay home. Additional restrictions have also been put in place: * You cannot have visitors to your home except for caregiving, compassionate reasons, or receiving services. * You can no longer visit friends and family who live at another household, except to see your intimate partner, for caregiving, compassionate reasons, or providing services. These restrictions are expected to be in place for six weeks, until mid-August. These Stay at Home restrictions will be in place for six weeks - until mid-August. We understand that this will be a really tough time for a lot of people. Please look after yourself, and make sure that you reach out for help if you need it.

12.01.2022 September 1 to 7 marks Spina Bifida Awareness Week. Especially during this time, SBFV would like to send best wishes to all our members. COVID-19 may have increased our sense of isolation and made it more difficult for us to catch up. Please remember to reach out to one another in our community. Pick up the phone to say hello; send a message to a friend; let members in your community know you care. This will keep you in touch with people as well. Enjoy this week and embrace all that is good in our community

10.01.2022 Due to the current pandemic, our SBFV office is unattended therefore we have no staff available to answer the landline. If you have any enquiries, please do not hesitate to email: [email protected]. Thankyou and stay well.

10.01.2022 SBFV: Announcement of Voluntary Cancellation Last night (10th November) at the Special General Meeting it was unanimously decided to Voluntarily Cancel SBFV to avoid trading insolvent. Thank you to all the members who attended the meeting. This was not an easy decision to make and it was a very sad but necessary conclusion to come to. We hope to be able to hold some events to celebrate SBFV’s history with remaining funds and will make announcements accordingly in the coming w...eeks. We do not see this as the end of the SB community and hope to see many community led events and endeavours in the future. The current committee will continue on in caretaker roles to complete the cancellation process. For further information please contact [email protected] . Committee of Management (caretakers)
