24.01.2022 2020. My first full year as a creative. A hard year for so many people. We were incredibly lucky and grateful to come through it unscathed. 26 murals painted and countless commissions, with clients and artists I could have only dreamed of working with years ago. A big year full of challenges and lessons learned about people and myself.... Thanks to all of you for following along! The highlight was putting that ring on my best friend who has backed me through all the hardships while achieving so much in her own career! I cannot wait to return after a much needed break and a new attitude in 2021 with some bloody big projects I can't wait to share with you. Have a safe summer mates! You have all earned it! Thank you all! See more
24.01.2022 Last week on the Bondi Beach Graffiti Wall. Not usually keen on doing commercial murals on this strip but a meaningful piece for the community, beach and our sporting history seemed ok. Commissioned by Natalie Cook and Kerri Pottharst through Book An Artist, celebrating 20 years since their Beach Volleyball Gold Medal at the Sydney 2000 Olympics. A contemporary design. The green and gold represents our national sporting identity with the blue ribbon and it's striking indigenous pattern nodding to the the blue and gold of our beach and surf culture - fitting for this piece. Aerosol and Acrylic.
23.01.2022 Happy New Year mates! After a much needed three weeks off I am back for a much bigger year. And what an awesome way to start with one of the most honest, raw, open and genuine chats with a few good laughs on the Passion & Perspective podcast. Big thanks to Jonathan who has a genuine interest in the Blue Mountains and Penrith community. Worth a listen if you're thinking about changing careers or turning your side hustle into something more. Also some very open chats about mental health, services available and the challenges that can push you onto better things!
22.01.2022 What an awesome weekend. 'In another Dreaming story, the Lyrebird is given the role of the peacemaker in the first great dispute between all creatures. As a reward, the spirits gave the Lyrebird the ability to be the only animal able to communicate to all the other animals.' The colours and patterns of the two lyrates intertwining upwards also represent the native Red Belly Black Snake, seen often in the area during the warmer months. ... The impressive filamentaries can be conceptual to the lightning strikes that scorch our beautiful land and can be seen for kilometres across the outback. This design was in consultation and approved by the Aboriginal Educational Officers and school community. Mitchell High School
15.01.2022 All done. What an awesome experience delivering this mural for the new ultimate sport experience at Rebel Sport Parramatta. This mural is the feature piece of a glass panelled free throw area complete with LED displays and backboard. Easily seen at the shopfront through the window. Store opens Thursday so go check it out. Thanks for the hospitality and accommodating me through the building process, and to all the trades that kept me company and well fed! This was my first m...ural for the bookanartist agency and I am stoked with the result! Book An Artist Westfield Parramatta
15.01.2022 Hey PENRITH. Stoked to share that I am taking part in our first sanctioned Street Art festival. Celebrating the creative arts after a tough year for so many, I will be one of 6 artists that will be decorating our CBD with murals as well as other celebrations, activations and events. Some of the murals will be given a touch of Augmented Reality. Pinching myself! A massive goal and dream of mine realised to get this opportunity to paint, chill and learn from some of the best w...hile repping my local. I am so grateful and proud! It's going to be a belter! Come down check it out and watch as the walls around Allen Place carpark and Gaymark Lane get transformed into works that will brighten our town for years to come! See more
08.01.2022 'Wish from afar'. All done ReAnimate Penrith - an awesome 8 days spent on this wall in my local alongside some killer artists who I was fortunate to feature alongside of. Met some absolute legends whose art we are lucky to have displayed in our hometown. Smashed some challenges both from within and without which has taught me heaps! An unreal experience! Thanks to Penrith Council for the event and Street University for the wall, as well as our man on the ground Andy who helpe...d me with any and all issues. To Brew Lab Cafe for looking after us every single day and as always, Taubmans and Mtn94 for the paint and materials. Lastly to my good friends Steven and Alana for allowing me to reference their beautiful daughter Mischa for this piece to connect to our local community and the concept. See more
03.01.2022 'Mind-Full' Black biro on A3 board. Working on a recognisable style has been on my mind for a long time. As creatives we tend to let these things happen organically through trial and error as well as just loving what we do and what feels right. This piece is a culmination of me discovering said style through sketches, mockups and free drawing sessions which I will be incorporating into all my work going forward.... Represented are some of the themes I have struggled with and overcome in the last few years. Through all this I remember that kindness and success is the best way to work through these challenges while staying humble and true to yourself. See more
02.01.2022 I am currently working with Transport NSW on delivering a Christmas Mural Installation in Centennial Park for the festive season. This concept drawn on Procreate will be transformed onto a 2m x 2m canvas using aerosol and acrylic before given a touch of Augmented Reality by the legends over at Vandal Sydney. I think we all agree everyone needs a great Christmas and holiday season this year so bring it on!
02.01.2022 Give The Drummer Some. A2 Stipple x Copic x Aerosol on recycled board. Over a hundred hours of small dots and line strokes. Stoked to have my home studio space at 90% how I want it and grateful to spend some time in there this week finishing this off between commissions. This piece was collecting dust over the last two years and I've come full circle knowing where I want to take my art going forward and so keen to incorporate stippling into all my work and mediums!
