24.01.2022 Keep an eye out on free-to-air TV this week as our three ‘Your Speed Is Our Safety’ videos are now playing nationally. All three of our videos will be in rotat...ion, driving home the important road safety message of slowing down through roadworks. So when you’re next out on the roads and driving through work sites, please always be roadworker aware, slow down and take care. Your speed is our safety. The TMAA would like to thank the Office for Road Safety, as well as the Northern Territory government, the Tasmanian government and A1 Roadlines for their invaluable support of the ‘Your Speed Is Our Safety’ campaign.

23.01.2022 The Department Of Transport and Main Roads has advised that it will be installing audio tactile line marking (ATLM) at select locations along the Burnett H'wa...y between Nanango and Goomeri, to alert motorists if they stray out of their lanes. Roadworks are scheduled to begin in July 2020 and take about three months to complete, conditions permitting. RoadTek will deliver the works which are expected to be carried out between 6am and 6pm, Monday to Friday. Motorists are reminded to observe all warning signage when approaching the site and be aware of changed conditions, such as reduced speed limits and queued traffic, and adapt their driving behaviour accordingly. For further information please see the below flyer... #SouthBurnett #DTMR #DriveToTheConditions #StaySafe See more

18.01.2022 Please find information re 2020 Formal arrivals at the Murgon Town Hall.

17.01.2022 Would you rather be hit by a car travelling at 40km/h or 100km/h? Pretty easy choice, isn’t it. Speed limits through roadwork sites are reduced for a reason.... The difference between a car hitting a worker at 40km/h or hitting them at 100km/h can literally be the difference between life and death.

04.01.2022 Despite all their high-visibility clothing, it can still often be hard to see the workers on a busy roadworks site. There’s lots of large equipment and piles o...f materials which can sometimes hide them from view. That’s why it is never safe to speed through a roadwork zone, even if you don’t see anyone. So when next you’re driving through a roadwork site, please always be roadworker aware, slow down and take care. Your speed is our safety. The TMAA would like to thank the Office for Road Safety, as well as the Northern Territory government, the Tasmanian government and A1 Roadlines for their invaluable support of the ‘Your Speed Is Our Safety’ campaign.

04.01.2022 Don’t forget to pause tomorrow at Midday to remember the 1,200 Australians each year who lose their lives on our roads for the opening of National Road Safety W...eek. Keep an eye out also on free-to-air television for our ‘Your Speed Is Our Safety’ ads. All three of our ads like the one below will be featured regularly this week, including during the pre-game of the deciding Game Three of the NRL’s State of Origin series. They will also be promoted widely across social media so please help us spread our important message of slowing down through roadwork sites. Your speed is our safety. The TMAA would like to thank the Office for Road Safety, as well as the Northern Territory government, the Tasmanian government and A1 Roadlines for their invaluable support of the ‘Your Speed Is Our Safety’ campaign. #NRSW #DriveSOS
