23.01.2022 ~ T H O R N B U R Y ~ This double story property is one of our favourite projects to do date that we have completed, it is situated right in the heart of thornbury only minutes from the main strip of shops. The front facade was tuck pointed in one colour (red) and the piers were tuck pointer with two colours (black and red) all with 5mm hand pressed white ribbons (lines). 21.01.2022 ~ C O L L I N G W O O D ~ We got called out to this property last week to do some internal crack stitching before the solid plaster goes up, here’s the different stages using the Helifix system. 17.01.2022 ~ E L W O O D ~ We kicked this job off with a heritage brick clean which involves high pressure steam and chemicals (not acid) to remove all paint smears and pollution to bring the brickwork back to its original self and finished off with red and white tuck pointing. Previous experience of using hawk and small tool and working in the brick game is preferred but not essential. Drivers license and white card is a must. Wages for the right person.

We started with a high pressure acid wash to clean up the brick work and then applied the double coloured tuck pointing. 10.01.2022 ~ E S S E N D O N ~ This property was built in 1928, over the years the mortar has cracked and completely eroded to the point where you could pull bricks out of the wall with ease. We worked long into the night for a quick turn around for our clients and they couldnt of been happier with the end result. 01.01.2022 ~ B R I G H T O N ~ The property was built in 1892 and situated directly across the road from Brighton Beach. The original mortar was cut out with our dust extraction system and new sandstone coloured mortar was injected and finished with a struckfinish. The whole wall was then hand acid washed because a high pressure acid wash would damage the bricks due to their age, the bricks are known as old hawthorn bricks and were handmade in the 1800s and are used in a lot of heritage structures. #architecturephotography #brickrestoration #architecture #brighton #sbtuckpointing
