23.01.2022 Introducing Carol Christensen Publicity Officer For five years now I have been attending SBWN events and have totally enjoyed meeting a varied group of women in business. Looking forward to 2021 for SBWN, after a tough year for everyone during 2020, reconnecting face to face during 2021 will be very satisfying. My day job is with The South Gippsland Sentinel Times in advertising sales, with a previous history of graphic design. Helping people promote their business or thems...elves is very rewarding. My aim is to help promote SBWN and its members to as many women in business across Bass Coast and South Gippsland and I love meeting new people of finding out their stories during SBWN events. Aside from work I love nothing more than walking my schnauzer each night to the beach or getting out and exploring our wonderful local area on weekends. See more

23.01.2022 INTRODUCING Narelle Jones, from The Burra Brewing Co., who is also nominated to join the SBWN Committee. Owners Phill and Narelle (and partners) are loudly and proudly 'Burra' locals with a passion for promoting all things South Gippsland. 'We are excited to be a part of the growing regional network of producers in this area.' The Burra Brewing Co. is a microbrewery located in the beautiful rolling hills of Korumburra, the gateway to South Gippsland. Narelle looks forward to ...when customers can come in again and enjoy our friendly service, wishing we could fill our beer garden with people, laughter, and sunshine says Narelle. Currently open for takeaway beer and pizza. Give us a call and place your order early 5658 1446. See more

15.01.2022 Closing Friday:

13.01.2022 SBWN is introducing you to each of our new committee members, starting with our President - Christie Nelson. Keep your eyes here for the rest of the team in the near future. Christie is a busy Mum of two children and four step-children and runs a professional social networking business in the health and wellness industry, her own brand of active wear, is a regular contributor to the Gippsland Lifestyle magazine and also works full time as a Licensed Estate Agent with Alex Sco...tt Korumburra. Christie has been a member of the SBWN for few years now and is thrilled to be part of the new Committee as President of the Network. It is a great honour to follow in the footsteps of our previous President, Dana Hughes and I’m very humbled by the nomination and the support I have received from our members. The year 2020 has definitely thrown us some challenges but I’m excited to say that these have presented a whole new outlook on the way we can all do business and grow as flourishing, thriving network and resource for everyone. I’m looking forward to supporting local businesses by linking arms and applauding each other’s wins and implementing a new strategic plan that will offer a variety of resources, events and opportunities to those in our local area as well as the online community and can’t wait to see all of our members, past, present and of course future, very soon for those attending our Mingle & Jingle event at Harmon Wines. 05.01.2022 Meet our Digital Media Officer - Jenny Alexander. I recently retired and joined my husband Graeme permanently at our South Gippsland home (near Foster) from Melbourne. We have 1 daughter, Simone, who is currently living, studying, and working in Japan. I have a B.Sc in textile chemistry and worked successfully in Pharmaceutical raw material sales for the past 30+ years. I have owned and run my own business, travelled extensively, training, and working with raw material manufa...cturers all over the world to grow their business in both Australia and New Zealand. I am a passionate sewer, and in my retirement, I intend to sew good quality garments for local ladies who share a passion for fine quality garments that fit. I joined the SBWN in 2019 as I was so impressed by the friendliness and the valuable networking experience. I look forward to meeting more wonderful and inspiring women in SBWN and sharing my wealth of knowledge and experience in running a successful business. See more
