22.01.2022 National Minimum Wage Review 2021 and Increase to Superannuation Rate National Minimum Wage Review On Wednesday 16 June 2021, the Commission handed down its 2021 Annual Wage Review Decision, which will see the National Minimum Wage and pay rates in all Modern Awards increase by 2.5%.... For employees that are award free, the the new national minimum wage will be $772.60 per week or $20.33 per hour. The above increases will take effect on the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2021. Superannuation Guarantee Rate Increase On and from 1 July 2021, the Superannuation Guarantee Rate will increase to 10% from its current rate of 9.5%. The Rate is scheduled to increase 0.5% each year until July 2025 when it will reach 12%.

14.01.2022 The 3rd stimulus package will be announced in the next few days, but it will include a $1500 fortnightly wage subsidy paid to businesses to help pay their employees. Today's preview announcement (prior to the package actually being released) is the the request for employers to hold fire on any further shutdowns or job cuts. 1. To be eligible you must have had a downturn of 30% of revenue... 2. It will start to be paid from 1 May 2020 but backdated to 30 March 3. Up to $750 per week per employee. 4. For employees earning more than this, employers can top this up should they wish. 5. For employees earning less than this, employers must pass on the full $750 subsidy to their employees. 6. For employees actually continuing to work, superannuation will be required to be paid on the employees usual gross payment amount. 6. Will be processed via the ATO STP system so all businesses must review and ensure they are STP functioning. 7. You must register your intention to receive this subsidy.
