Winners Frank & Trish Stone went through undefeated, Caroline Williams & Wally McCrea 2nd on countback from Wally & Margaret Vandenberghe 3rd and Rod McCrea & Lorraine Piercey 4th. 25.01.2022 Played in freezing conditions yesterday Scaddan ladies opened the pennants season with a very close game against Esperance. Trish’s team won against Margie Rance 20-14 and Judy’s team went down 17-22, Scaddan sneaking in by a point to take the aggregate and a 3-1 victory. Well done girls.

Messages received from some of our members from still at work, China painting, cleaning cupboards, walks on the beach and large, very large jigsaws. Let us know how your spending your time. 24.01.2022 Congratulations to Callum Williams and Rachel McDonald on taking out their second mixed pairs title on the weekend. The pair combined extremely well to win from Wally and Margaret Vandenberghe 11-9. In a very tactical game it was a very even game throughout. On the second last end they were tied at 9-9 and the game went down to the last couple of bowls with a few drives and excellent draw bowling throughout the 12 ends.
22.01.2022 Congratulations to Condingup on taking out the 20/21 Ladies Pennant Flag. We couldn’t quiet get the win today but am really proud of the girls who came from fourth to play off in the grand final, great effort. Thanks to Esperance for hosting, Bill Gurney for umpiring.

22.01.2022 Scaddan held their Invitation Day sponsored by Nutrien Ag Solutions on Sunday 25th October. This is also our Charity Day and this year the Charity was Solaris Cancer Care which provides support to patients and their carers. We currently have a member who is utilising this service. Sunday attracted members from both Esperance and Condingup and played 3 rounds of mixed triples and fours. Ladies results were 1st Shelley Smith from Condingup followed by Ollie Austin, Elaine Rule and Marilyn Jackson from Esperance. The mens results were 1st Kevin Baker Esperance followed by Barry King, Ian Carson and Michael Ietto from Scaddan. Thanks for supporting this event and to the Sponsors for their continuing support of small clubs.

22.01.2022 Today the SECBL played in a mixed event sponsored by WFI. Twelve teams participated in the league event, with great representation from all clubs. Special thanks to the Esperance Bowling Club for their hospitality, Scott Willis for doing the draw, cards and results, the league for providing the morning tea and nibbles. Results were the Hopetoun Team taking out first place Fred, Alec, Coral and Margo congratulations , runners up The Scaddan team of Callum, Tim and Caroline Williams and Rachel McDonald, 3rd place went to The Esperance team, Richard Major, Kevin Baker, Ollie Austin and Marilyn Jackson.
22.01.2022 The SECBL is hosting the Inter League Round Robin Pairs in Esperance this weekend. Fabulous bowls have been on display by the ladies. Wishing our girls the very best and thanks to all the volunteers who have offered up there time to help out for the weekend, a great show of community within our league.
21.01.2022 A very successful Styles day carnival was held on Thursday 13th May, overall winners were the Eaton team of Shane Pullman, Bruce McDonald, Greg Martyn and Neville Woods, r/up a composite team of Richard Major and Pud Moir from Esperance with Paddy and Joe Kennedy from Kalgoorlie. Many thanks to Rod McCrea and his team of helpers and all the ladies led by Trudi Ietto for the fantastic job they did in keeping the bowlers fed all day finishing with a superb dinner in the evening, congrats to all the winners and r/up for the day. Lastly and most importantly many thanks to our wonderful sponsors who make these events possible.
19.01.2022 With the 20/21 Bowling Season drawing to a close the Ladies Pennants will play their finals this weekend, Saturday 6th March This is the first time the ladies will play finals in a trial year, Scaddan will play Esperance in the elimination final on Saturday at Esperance, starting at 1.00 pm for 1.30 pm. The winner will play Condingup on Sunday starting at 9.30 am for 10.00 am. We wish our girls all the best and congratulations on a great year by all Clubs. The men will also play pennants at Esperance on Saturday against Esperance Blue, they are still in with a chance of making the finals. Good luck guys hopefully both teams are successful. Congratulations also to Margaret Vandenberghe, Rachel McDonald, Trish Stone and Caroline Williams on being selected for the ILRR in Gnowangerup next weekend.

Sunday mixed social/sponsored days have been played for the last 3 weeks in very ordinary weather with small numbers but with excellent bowls played. 18.01.2022 2019/20 Presentation evening was held recently at Eljay's. Presentations were made to the winning Womens Pennant Team with badges and the 2019/20 Pennant Flag. Trish Stone won Scaddan Ladies Bowler of Year and Margaret Vandenberghe was runner-up. Caroline Williams was awarded the Best Club Person. Tony Ietto won the Wally Vandenberghe sponsored trophy for the Men's most improved. Three life members were awarded for achievements and contribution made to the Scaddan Bowling ...Club. Congratulations to Wally Vandenberghe, Frank Stone and Lorraine Piercey on gaining your life membership. Thanks to all those that supported our club throughout the year. Ladies Pennants start up this weekend please check your fixtures for venue and times. Memberships are now due and need to be paid prior to playing pennants. 16.01.2022 The SECBL played the ladies league singles today at Scaddan. Congratulations to Trish Stone from Scaddan on winning the major event, runner up was Marilyn Jackson from Esperance, Marilyn also won the raffle. The minor event had some very close games with Coral Grant from Hopetoun taking out the section. Congratulations to all girls and thank you to the markers, umpires and girls in the kitchen.
15.01.2022 The men held the first round of the Singles Championships on the weekend with some great bowling. The final round will be held on Sunday 21st followed by a BBQ dinner. Come to the club and support the players and watch some fabulous bowls.
13.01.2022 Updates: Sorry been AWOL but here’s what’s been happening around the club. Winners of the men’s pairs Wally Vandenberghe and Callum Williams. Winners of the ladies pairs Trish Stone and Caroline Williams runners up Judy Paterson and Lynne Ietto. Men’s pennants team have started the season with mixed results have a few wins but going down to Esperance White over the weekend. They play Condy 1 on Saturday so hopefully they can bounce back.... The ladies have also had a mixed start to the year with a win and draw and some very close games. The ladies play Esperance in town on Saturday. Sunday 8th November the final day of the Bauer’s mixed singles was played with Wally Vandenberghe taking out the event from Ian Carson and Callum Williams. See more
12.01.2022 Happy New Year, the second half of the bowling season has recommenced with the ladies playing their fours. Congratulations to Judy Paterson, Marg Hesford, Trudi Ietto, and Elizabeth Charman on winning the Ladies Championship Fours. Thank you to the sponsors. Presentations will be made at our windup later in the year. Also congratulations to our men Callum Williams, Frank Stone and Wally Vandenberghe who travelled to Gnowangerup on the weekend for the ILRR. 11.01.2022 Last weekend the SECBL held the annual sponsored Professionals Day with 14 men and 4 women teams playing off for the prize money. Condingup had a clean sweep in both men and women taking out first place in both events, skippered by Ted Young and Helen Perks/Rachel Young respectively. Runners up in the men was the Hopetoun team skippered by John Goddard and third Richard Major’s team from Esperance. The Esperance ladies came in second and third skippered by Marilyn Jackson and Edna Barlow respectively. Congratulations to all winners and players and thanks to the sponsors.
09.01.2022 The men’s singles final is between Callum Williams and Ian Carson. Callum snuck in 25-24 against Glen Lomax and Ian Carson won over Wally Vandenberghe 25-19. Great bowling by all.

04.01.2022 Congratulations to the South East Coastal Bowling League Mens fours team who went to Gnowangerup on the weekend and came our winners. Great achievement to the boys and the support team, previously winning in 1997. Congratulations also to those that were selected to play in the zone. Hopefully I can put a photo up of the team soon.

01.01.2022 Weekly updates: Scaddan men played their triples a few weeks ago with Callum, Rod and Bob winning over Wally, Ian and Tom. The ladies had similar numbers play their triples with Judy, Marg Vandy and Elizabeth taking out the championship over Trish, Caroline and Lorraine. The men’s pennant team were successful over the last weekend winning the aggregate 5.5 to 0.5 over Condingup 2. The ladies are struggling to get a win on the board going down to Esperance 4-0.
01.01.2022 Welcome back everyone, hope you have enjoyed your off season. The 2020/21 season is just around the corner but before the official start of the season we will be finally holding the 2019/20 windup. The windup will be held at Eljays on the 25th September with drinks at 6.00 and meal at 6.30. The menu is a 2 course buffet, RSVP's need to be into Caroline - 0411441832 or Rod 0427796014 there is also a sheet up at the clubrooms, we need numbers by the 11th September.
