15.01.2022 Promotions. It is getting close to the end of the year when promotions happen. Remember there is a new promotions policy in place. Automatic promotion occurs at the end of a calendar year if you achieve three promotion points during the year. Promotion throughout the year can also occur if you achieve 3 promotion points in a rolling 12 month period. You need to request promotion (as its not automatic (yet)). You also can request promotion if you have one promotion point, but ...you need to show you deserve it by virtue of flying skills, judging experience and perhaps circumstances (like work needs or illness) that stopped you from attending etc. You can also request to NOT be promoted if you get three promo points, but have a reason for NOT being promoted. Write this explanation in an email to the National Competition Director who will consult with your regional rep and committee. The committee will consider these requests. If in doubt ring a committee member or you regional representative. See you all at the Nationals.... See more
