23.01.2022 The best part of what we do, is letting wildlife go and be wild. This is another Dugite we removed from a family home. Please do not ever attempt to get this close to these animals. Almost every bite occurs when people try to do things like this, or harm them. ... #dugite #reptiles #animals #bush #nature #brownsnake #venom #venomous #pseudonaja #affinis #visitwesternaustralia #visitperth #perthisok #helloperth #perthvibes #justanotherdayinwa #australia

23.01.2022 If this happens, we’ll be channeling our inner Samuel L Jackson to get some Snakes On A Plane :)

22.01.2022 Our big carpet python Nate is named after someone we had the honour of knowing many years ago. Private Nathan Bewes of 6RAR. On this and every other Remembrance Day, we pause to think about him and the many other men and women from the Australian Defence Force. Wether you’re current or formerly serving, here’s to you and yours. Stay Safe. ... Never Above Us. Never Below Us. Always Beside Us.

21.01.2022 Do you ever find out you sleep in weird positions..... Our Ridge-tailed Monitor and Long Nosed Tata Dragon seem to have a competition to see which one can sleep in the weirdest way. Who do you think is more comfortable? #redackie #ackie #ackiemonitor #monitorlizard #monitor #dwarfmonitor #reptiles #lizard #Tata #dragon #reptile #lizard #petsofperth #WesternAustralia #perth #sleeptight #reptilelover

20.01.2022 This is a tough one. It is exceedingly rare that a single photograph can capture the emotion of a snake. This cobra mother was trying to protect her eggs and wa...s beaten savagely by ignorant people. The photographer, in tears, along with someone from a sanctuary, rescued her. She died the following morning from her severe injuries. He posted this photograph to demonstrate the incredible bravery and dignity these animals are capable of, and the terrible consequences ignorance about snakes can have. The look on her face is haunting. Please, do not kill snakes. -photo credit to Right Rishi Photography -post credit Lyall Naylor Still even beaten and broken she still gathered up the strength to stand up and protect her babies. For a second think about the pain this animal would have been in a picture a human women or man doing the same beaten, broken and ripped apart but still trying to protect their family. Weather your a reptile love or not putting it into that thought process will tug on your heart strings. They are alive they feel pain they feel the need to protect their young just like humans and our fluffy domesticated pets.

19.01.2022 This is a brilliant story of why it’s important to know first aid. It gets better the more you read. Of all the possible peoples advice to take, we can’t say this would be one of the top. But thankfully it’s correct. It also shows that even a child knows that you do not have to harm a snake. ... Hopefully she recovers quickly. See more

19.01.2022 Some times having a cheeky romantic romp in a garden, you get caught. This pair of Dugite’s was stumbled upon in a families backyard during some renovations. These two were well and truly warm enough to flee or defend themselves, but they were a little preoccupied..... Mating Even while coaxing them in to the tube, they were still locked together. ... #dugite #reptiles #animals #bush #nature #wildlifevet #brownsnake #vet #venom #venomous #highlyvenomous #work #australia #zookeeper #snake #reptile #dangerous #perth #perthisok #westernaustralia #breedingseason #mating #romantic

18.01.2022 We just had the privilege of removing these two from a families home in Munster. While doing some renovations this pair of Dugite’s was discovered, when we arrived we realised they were in fact mating. This pair are currently in a tub to allow them to finish, and will be released shortly as the day cools down. #dugite #reptiles #animals #bush #nature #brownsnake #vet #venom #venomous #perth #perthisok #westernaustralia #highlyvenomous #work #australia #australiannaturalist #zookeeper #mk #snake #reptile #dangerous #adventure #aussiereptile #aussiesnake #explorer #adventurer #survival #conservation #wildlife #fauna

17.01.2022 Sometimes things don’t always go to plan. Our little Tiger Snake had issues with shedding its skin recently, so we had to get hands on and help it out. We let the animal soak in water for a little while, then used a glove to safely hold it while gently rubbing the stuck skin off it. Thankfully the glove did it’s job, as this little one wasn’t happy about the help and had a few attempts at biting. ... A lot of snakes in the wild will often have this issue due to a variety of factors: diet, hydration, temperature and/or humidity. #snakelover #instasnake #instareptile #snakesofinstagram #serpiente #serpientes #serpenti #serpente #serpentes #tigersnake #Tiger #venomous #venomoussnakes #australia #elapid #reptilekeeper #pet #Dangerous #donottrythisathome

17.01.2022 How cool is this?! The shed skin of a Thorny Devil.

16.01.2022 This gorgeous Dugite was seen going underneath a kids cubby house. After removing some of the floor we found exactly where it was hiding, which can be seen in the last photo. Due to where it was and there being two young boys in the house, leaving it wasn’t an option. Thankfully we were able to get it out and in to the bag. Making things safer for everyone. If you see one in your yard, keep an eye on it from a safe distance. ... Call us, or any other trained reptile relocator. DO NOT try to catch or harm it. This is when most bite occur, as the animal tries to defend itself. #dugite #reptiles #animals #bush #nature #wildlifevet #brownsnake #venom #venomous #highlyvenomous #australia #snake #reptile #dangerous #westernaustralia #visitwesternaustralia #visitperth #perthisok #helloperth #perthvibes #justanotherdayinwa

15.01.2022 It’s always amazing to see just how quickly these animals eat their prey. Our little #tigersnake ate its mouse almost faster than we could get the camera ready. This is something they need to do in the wild for their safety. 14.01.2022 Sometimes accidents happen. This shows that even the snake itself can be affected by the toxins in its venom. Having personally been in this room and seen this very animal, I can vouch that the camera doesn’t do his size justice.

14.01.2022 We had the privilege of hanging out with Justin from Gosnells Reptile Removals over the weekend, and playing with a few of his pets. This young Tiger Snake perfectly shows how they got their name. Beautiful black and yellow stripes. Even at such a small size, these animals are still very dangerous due to having such highly potent venom. ... #reptile #reptilelover #snakesoftheworld #stripes #tiger #vibrant #wildlife #wildlife_perfection #wildlifephotography #perth #westernaustralia #reptiles #gopro #dangerous #deadly #anotherdayinwa #perthisokay #petsofperth #pets

12.01.2022 Scales and snags. That’s better than Bunnings!

09.01.2022 Due to their incredible ability to find gaps most people keep young Hatchie hatchling snakes in Tupperware click clack containers. While we do this for a lot of our own animals, it does take away from the joys of a new pet being welcomed in to a home. We took this 30x30x45 enclosure and made it a home for a beautiful Carpet Python. Straight away we got to watch this snake make the most of the branches, spending most of its time up high. ... Not only is this a more natural behaviour for this species, the enclosure looks much nicer for its owner to enjoy. #python #pythons #pythonsofig #pets #petstagram #herps #snakebreeder #nature #geneticsmatter #australia #pets #pet #snakes #reptiles #reptilelover #perth #sydney #brisbane #melbourne #adelaide

07.01.2022 While trying to look at the injuries to this Tiger Snake, we got to film its defensive behaviour. In this short video you can see it’s neck flair out. This is done to make the snake appear larger and more threatening, in the hope that it is left alone. While this snake is considered to be one of the most venomous in the world (No4), they would rather make us back away while they flee. #bushlife #snakesofinstagram #reptilesofinstagram #elapidsofinstagram #aussiewildlife #elapidae #tigersnake #Tiger #australiancobra #urbanwildlife #reptile #reptilelover #snakesoftheworld #stripes #vibrant #wildlife #wildlife_perfection

06.01.2022 Some animals have more personality than others. This Long-nosed Tata Dragon might be one of the youngest animals we have, but she is easily the biggest character. This species is easily one of the best animals to keep, and watch run around their enclosure. #tata #dragon #agamid #agamidae #lizard #lizards #reptile #reptilekeeper #australia #pet #petlovers

05.01.2022 It’s hard not to be excited about a tank that can glow in the dark. And no, this is not trick photography. This is one of our Flinders Ranges Scorpion. Scorpions have no skeleton like we do. Instead they have a very hard body called an Exoskeleton, which glows under a black light. Scorpions are incredibly easy to care for, and require little space. 05.01.2022 Snakes + planes = heaven. To most people this situation would be an absolute nightmare, but to our man guy Brendon this is as good as it gets. A life long interest in both planes and snakes... What would you be more concerned with... The inflight food, or the snakes? Haha

05.01.2022 Sometimes the wildlife we are involved with is a little different to the usual. This morning we got assist in the transport of 3 full bee hives. 04.01.2022 Sometimes we really wonder how these animals survive in the wild. This Stripe Tailed Pygmy Monitor (Varanus Caudolineatus) managed to get stuck upside down. 02.01.2022 Some times it’s nice to have company while you sleep. Our Long-Nosed Tata Dragon shows that sometimes he can be peaceful, unfortunately that does not happen often. Due to it being winter reptiles slow down as the colder weather can not warm them to their full potential. This means we get to show you amazing photos like this. We are not sure if this cricket is pretending to ride a dragon in to battle, or if it’s scared and thinks it can not be seen where it is.
