21.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE From 6am Monday 28 June 2021, Queensland is temporarily increasing restrictions in response to the NSW community outbreak. Indoor premises ...and indoor events: 1 person per 2m2 or 100% at seated and ticketed venues Wedding ceremonies held indoors: up to 200 or 1 person per 2m2 or 100% seated and ticketed Funerals held indoors: Up to 200 or 1 person per 2m2 or 100% seated and ticketed Gatherings in private residences limited to 100 people limit. Use of the COVID safe Checklist is mandatory for restricted businesses and indoor events. Industry plans are not mandatory but may be used for guidance. Anyone who is a close contact, has been in a declared hotspot or interstate exposure venue of concern must not visit any Queensland residential aged care facility or shared disability accommodation service centre. These restrictions will be reviewed on 9 July 2021. In addition, From 1am Monday 28 June, New South Wales border zone residents will also be required to complete a travel declaration to enter Queensland. 14.01.2022 Lockdown extended in parts of South East Queensland Due to the detection of new COVID-19 cases in the community, lockdown will be extended in Brisbane and Mor...eton Bay until 6pm, Saturday 3 July. The lockdown will end at 6pm tonight for the remainder of the state, however, restrictions will continue to apply including face mask wearing We know this is not the news Queenslanders wanted to hear heading into the weekend, but it is crucial that these restrictions remain in place to reduce the movement of people who may be unknowingly infectious. We only need to look at other countries to see what another reality might look like if we do not act. Remember, in lockdown you can only leave home for one of these four reasons: to buy essentials such as groceries, or access healthcare (including getting vaccinated) exercise in your local area attend essential work and study if you can't do from home provide help, care or support to vulnerable persons. 04.01.2022 WA and NT hotspot update From 1am AEST 30 June 2021, Queensland will declare the following locations as COVID-19 hotspots: Perth and Peel regions in Wester...n Australia Darwin, Litchfield, Belyuen, Wagait and Palmerston in the Northern Territory Anyone who has been to a hotspot since the identified start date will not be allowed to enter Queensland, unless they are a Queensland resident or have an exemption.
